Every older man I entertained when I was really young was, in reflection when I got a little older, a complete fucking loser and man-child. A woman their age would have never put up with their immature shit. They could only get away with being so incredibly pathetic because as younger women, we are all more naive to what’s acceptable behavior for a man that age.

When i was 12 i dated a 18 year old online, we met on social media. He had plans to meet up and refused to meet up in a public place, he insisted it'll be at his place. I got bad vibes and refused so i told him "my mom said no" even though i didn't ask her, he kept going about how i shouldn't tell my mom and how I'm childish if i let my mom tell me what to do. cheap manipulation. I didn't care, blocked and moved on. half an year later he sent a dick pic to my friend (who was also 12, and he knew it) saying it was an "accident".

Opinions on dating ranges? I am 25 but always feel like I can’t connect with guys my own age. At the same time I wind up dating people a decade older than me and there’s a weird dynamic there. I just wish men weren’t so immature. Logistically I don’t want to have a family with someone who is that much older than me. Maybe you guys can weigh in?

Immaturity really does come at any age. There are Men in their 40s who act like 20 year olds and 20 year olds who act like 14 year olds

I’ve dated younger and older and same age but it’s all about who they are: not their age. TThere’s a lot of fish in the sea but there’s more garbage than fish.

I married a wonderful divorced guy with no kids 13 years my senior and I’m 29. I love him and he totally worships me. I’m very strong willed, independent and career driven but I expect a man to be a gentleman and act like one. I never had much in common with men my own age and I dated plenty.

They were not as good at conversation and not as worldly. My husband is kind and sensitive and knows the value of love. Some people might judge the age difference and believe me they did at first, but now they can see how happy we are together. We both teach each other a lot and go on lots of adventures. Age shouldn’t be too much of a deciding factor.

I do think girls in their early 20s have not had a career most likely and are still naive in a lot of aspects and are ripe for being controlled which can happen a lot.

However, my parents are 8 years apart and had the best and most loving marriage I’ve ever seen. My grandparents were 15 years apart and had 6 kids and a loving marriage.

I’m at the point (I’m 38....) that age matters a little less than all of the other factors, but will still be the thing that tips the scale. Like.... if he’s got his shit together, but has a weird past, how old he is makes the difference. Or some other variation....
