• Most of the guys you'll meet in college will be fuckboy scumbags who think of this time in their life as a time to fuck around as much as possible.
  • Things will get better after you graduate, I promise.
  • Don't fall for pretty lies in the meantime, and don't accept low-effort either.
  • In college, I had a fellow student bf who still managed to do special things for me like get me flowers, take me out, and out consistent effort in.
  • There is no excuse not to. Just because you're both young, doesn't mean you need to be accepting netflix and chill, no commitment, and general low-effort. You need to love yourself enough to know you are worth so much more than that.
  • Date outside of college if you want, someone who's like 27 if you're 22 and more LTR-minded could work a lot better than someone else who is 22 and has never been in a relationship before.
  • Stay away from men 30+ years old though for sure, they're sick.
  • Dress up every day, take care of yourself. Don't get in a self-care rut. You need your self-worth, confidence, and pride to exist, loves. Your conception of self and confidence is more important than you know.
  • Focus on excelling at what you want to do career and education wise. You cannot rewind your college years or redo opportunities you've missed out on.
  • Don't change your plans and life goals for some guy
  • Remember, if your college bf is telling you he wants to marry you, 9 times out of 10, it is a lie. He is not ready for marriage and probably won't come close to thinking about it until age 33, considering the manchildren of today and scientific research on when men settle down.
  • Young men have been promised that ages 18-25 at least is the time to sow their wild oats. Did you get the memo or are you living in a Disney fairytale dreamland where you think his intentions are sincere and not sex-based?
  • Use condoms, every time. I don't care if you trust him or if he has "gotten tested". Your health is important, sis. Just because he seems like an awkward kissless virgin, doesn't mean he isn't dogging you with several other side chicks. CONDOMS. EVERY. TIME.
  • Use birth control if you find it agrees with your body and doesn't cause you side effects. Getting pregnant with a LVM's child is without a doubt, one of the worst decisions you can ever make in life.
  • Frat parties and bars are terrible places to meet people. Don't be peer pressured into going places or participating in things you don't want to.
  • Don't lower your expectations because all your girl friends did. I had several girl friends who had "bfs", but they were more like booty calls who saw each other past midnight or to cater to the guy's sexual desires. You should not let what is normal around you become your normal. You deserve to have the kind of love life you want, and you shouldn't settle for this kind of pickme BS.

To sum it up, stop falling for the lies of young men. Their motivations at this age are sex-based, 99.9999% of the time. Yes, even if he tells you he loves you. Even if he tells you he wants to marry you. Even if he introduces you to his mom.

Men would rather have gfs for the emotional labor and convenient sex and social clout than be single. They will string a gf along for YEARS until he meets someone he actually wants marry. Stay woke about the nature of LVM.

Don't let this information upset you, but empower you to make better choices, knowing how the opposite sex works.
