First situation

My best friend had been doting on me for months and months. For context, we dated some years ago and we both ended with some trauma from it, I left him, we reconnected after some months and became friends again.

He's tried so many times to "get me back" and I've rejected him every time because fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. He had another girlfriend in between but they broke up and long story short he's still in love with me.

He's been a super loving and good friend for the last ~6 months, but especially the last like ~2 months. He was supportive, caring, thoughtful, made me gifts, yada yada yada. I thought, what a wonderful friend, and I cherished him so much for it.

Some days ago he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend again, he added "and if not, no hard feelings". My default reaction was "no" but I almost reconsidered because of how much he'd changed and how great of a friend he was. However, I spoke with a different friend of mine about it and decided on the reasonable answer, which is no. I told him that and suddenly, he's withholding all affection from me.

Barely communicating with me. Blunt and short, no emojis ever. Ignores some of my messages. Doesn't text first. You get the idea. Now that I rejected him romantically, I suddenly don't deserve affection and effort? Is that it or is he just hurt? I feel used and manipulated but I don't know if those feelings are valid right now.

Second situation

Now this one is more lighthearted. I'm on Tinder. After some small talk with my matches I ask them to answer a short questionnaire to see if we're compatible. The questions are like:

-Are you allergic to cats -Ideal first date -If we go out for dinner, who pays -Ideal weekend together -Do you watch porn -Your studies and job -Do you speak [my language] fluently -The patriarchy in the west exists/doesnt -If a girl doesnt shave, you like/dislike/dont mind

You get the idea. It's a total of 10 questions, multiple choice. I go on a date with anyone who gets 9/10 or 10/10. Anyway, so one of the guys got an 8/10 and yada yada, I said it's time for our goodbyes. He said he feels sorry for my future patients and that I'm a psychopath!😂 (PS. Won't be having patients in my career path). We've been talking for a whole 10 minutes and this is his response. This is why you failed the test buddy 😂
