A few years ago, I was on a date with a guy and I ended up paying the whole bill. When the waitress came back, she put the credit card holder in front of him, not me, so I reached across the table to grab it since my card was inside and I needed to sign the slip.

My date freaked out and lectured me because I didn’t wait for the waitress to leave before grabbing the card holder. He said he didn’t want her to realize I was the one paying (even though if she had paid attention, she would have seen my very obvious woman name on the card). This idiot placed more value in a random stranger thinking he paid, while belittling the woman who had spent the evening with him who was actually treating him to dinner. Let me tell you, that was the catalyst for that to end immediately!

Yeah that's interesting that he was so intimidated by her ability to pay for a meal. I doubt it was that expensive or that she made him feel bad about it. I mean that's all in his head. Good riddance!
