I saw some of their posts and really don't get the appeal. One woman commented that it was exhausting keeping up multiple relationships. One man is already a huge waste of time, imagine having 2 or 3 around!

I guess having sex with random people is not fulfilling.... Who would have thought? One of those idiots is confusing monogamy with someone you love and trust and respect and vice versa with an abusive relationship. They were saying if it was not for poly, they would be stressed out about their partner finding someone better (cheating... But I guess in poly you don't have to leave the partner to have your cake and eat it too), stressing that your monogamous partner forbids you from seeing your friends and co workers... Sis that's called an abusive relationship

Oh gawd, I knew a guy in a poly marriage. His wife got pregnant and didn't know who the father was - it could've been either the husband or her two lovers. Those men were also in relationships, and their gf's had other lovers.

His description of this arrangement made me feel kind of sick. His poor wife had a horrendous miscarriage, sadly, and the whole situation destroyed her mental health.

Didn't stop him from looking for his own lover, though. You'd think something that complicated with such serious health implications would cause deeper introspection but apparently not.

Polygamy is not natural. I’m not saying monogamy is for everyone because lord knows there are people who don’t need to be in relationships but like it or not people are naturally possessive over someone they love, especially someone they love romantically.

I used to think that polyamory was a cute idea -- mostly because I watched a bunch of unsatisfying love triangles on tv and kept thinking "why don't you idiots just date each other?" But reading that sub and relationship advice makes me think that anyone who claims to be "poly" really just wants an excuse to sleep around.

Ruined the whole idea for me.
