The US military started allowing women to join in limited capacity in 1917. In 1948, it started allowing women to join in most roles. And in 2016, all exclusions/limitations to roles for women in the military were removed, including combat.

Selective Service either needs to be eliminated, or it needs to be modified to be all persons 18-25. For more than a decade, a bill has been introduced or an amendment attached to the National Defense Authorization Act in each Congress (i.e. every 2 years) to add women to Selective Service. It is usually Dems adding/changing the language in one house, and Rs removing it/getting it dropped in chamber negotiations before final passage.

At the start of Joe Biden's term, he stated he was in support of the change. Trump, not surprisingly, does not support this change.

The ACLU had a lawsuit reach the SC on it being men only and the constitutionality of that, but the government argued that Congress would likely make the change soon, and that a decision from them was unnecessary. The SC acquiesced to that. That was in 2021. And as expected, Congress has done nothing on it.

This is one area where a Dem Congress and Presidency seems likely to make a positive egalitarian change.

Germany just did the exact same thing, and the state is already bringing down the hammer on guys who resist.

For context on our new system that started this January: Every citizen turning 18 now gets an official military readiness questionnaire. According to the official Federal Government FAQ, it’s 100% voluntary for women, but legally mandatory for men. [1]

The Ministry of Defense just confirmed that they are actively preparing the first official fine proceedings against men who ignore it, as reported by the Berliner Zeitung. Fines are set at €250, but the legal framework allows them to scale up to €1,000 for serious cases or fake information, according to Der Spiegel. On top of that, they are currently building 24 mandatory medical examination centers (Musterung) to screen the young male population. To put it bluntly: young men will even have their testicles examined in the near future just to see if they fit the meat grinder. [1]

At the end of the day, both the US automation and this new German system are doing the exact same thing: laying down the operational tracks for a fully active conscription. Leading German politicians are already warning that a voluntary model won't be enough, especially since enlistment numbers are lagging heavily behind the goals of the German army and government. They want the entire bureaucracy, the physical screening centers, and the data of every single young man ready to go before they officially pull the trigger on a draft.

They are expanding the structural burden on men while hiding behind the excuse that it's "just an administrative update.

Surely the feminists who have institutions like academia, western politics like EU, UN and grassroots in a chokehold will use their immense influence, money and political power to stop this injustice? Feminism is a respectable ideology and definitely not a hate cult founded by elites, I don’t understand why there arent any mass protests of them.

Regardless, as a guy who is in a country with conscription and recently finished college, i will probably get my summons and deployment orders in a couple of months. I urge men in these countries like Germany to do everything they can to protest against these new developments. If the elites get their grubby little hands on you even once, they will never drop you. Then before you know it you are getting kidnapped in the streets like Ukrainian men.

That's progress in equal rights. You see before there was possibility that men did not have right to vote, because he had no right for drivers license without registering for draft.

Now this problem is solved, as every man is automatically registered US finally has equal universal voting rights. Before that only women had universal voting rights.

Selective Service is still bullshit, but I'd call this preferable to punishing those who don't bother signing up. It's really stupid that it was required by law but not automatic.

On the one hand, the only thing this really changes is that men no longer have to actively register anymore (still no active draft, yet). On the other hand, that makes it easier and almost completely frictionless in the event they ever were to reactivate the draft. (Shudder)

It's a mixed bag, and would much prefer that they put Selective Service back in "deep standby" like they had in 1975-1980, with no registration whatsoever.

Ok so, if they force you to join the military, then collectively you guys should just stop. Like stop cooperating, stop turning up for training, just basically stop. If every man does does that, what are they going to do? Kill all of y'all? No. But the key is, you must collectively do it.
