Venting because I don't know what else to do right now. The FBI did a meta analysis at one point that put the percentage of false rape accusations at around 8%. These are formal accusations made to law enforcement, investigated, and proven to be fabricated. That's already high and that's only counting the most severe form of this type of behavior. But there are other ways men are falsely accused of rape/being rapists that aren't being documented. Things like spreading lies in social circles after rejection, reporting child abuse that never happened during a bitter divorce. The most blatant one that you can witness every day, accusations made baselessly on the internet. Today alone I've witnessed 3 separate women accuse men that are total strangers to them of being rapists just for expressing disbelief in a claim that was completely false. Phrases like "You're just outing yourself" and "you're clearly one of them" are still false accusations. One of them even outright just responded to a man they've never met with "rapist" because he said people are misrepresenting the numbers from a CNN report. Feminists want to make the world believe that false accusations rarely ever happen, but we can all see women accuse men of rape multiple times a day just over a disagreement and we're supposed to pretend that false accusations are rare? Some women, mainly feminists even, accuse men of rape for the most benign comments on social media. Of course false accusations are being made as "punishment" for break ups, divorces, rejection, and as tools for coercion. I'm so tired of having to see this on social media routinely.
