People who say this exploit the empathy gap and male disposability to dehumanize men and shift focus away from the vulnerable men who suffer.

The implication is that men who die of suicide (or a myriad of other male issues that kill/maim/injure or reduce your quality of life) don't count as the "real victims" and that prejudice shown in the lack of resources to help them while they were still alive is just a coincidence, and not a systemic problem.

If you feel bitter, you can phrase this criticism as, "That's because [to the one saying this] men aren't human." There's a meager chance you will be able to get through to someone like that. Something unthinkable, like a loved one who is a man dying from suicide, would need to happen for them to open their mind/heart enough to listen.

Sometimes it's good to go straight to a moral argument. If people think misandry is okay, then get them to justify it morally.

If they think misandry is righteous, get them to say it out loud.

Whoever touts the moronic line about why women are misandrist would probably think I should hate all Roma because I endured violence and coercion from a very small number of arseholes. Then again, maybe that's genuinely the limit of how close their very small brains can come to a correct line of thinking.

To believe that all acts of male on female rape are rooted in misogyny is absurd and an assumption which would need proving. And if that is indeed the case, all acts of female on male rape are rooted in misandry and according to recent research, there are equal numbers of both.

I reject the idea that misandry doesn’t translate into violence against men. It’s very possible that there is a misandrist component in male-selective massacres, for example (such as the Srebrenica massacre), or John Molloy’s supposed order to spare women and children, but have no mercy on the men, during the Wonnerup massacre. Some would probably reject that, on the belief that men cannot be misandrist (as if women couldn’t be misogynistic). In fact, you could consider society’s condoning of male draft for war to be a form of misandry with lethal consequences.

By that logic, men themselves should be at least just as misandrist, under the same justification (and we end up with an absurd situation), something that would probably trigger an immediate objection from some of those people, not because of the absurdity, but because it goes against the belief that men "created" everything in order to benefit their own gender at the expense of women.

There’s also just a straight up negativity bias in that mentality. It has become popular to use examples of men doing bad things as being representative of men, even though those same people would not use examples of men doing good things as being representative of men (when obviously both don't make much sense).

Just as misogyny can come from women, misandry can come from men. We need to always make this clear, the fact that we don't make this clear enough is why some of these feminists gaslight us by saying it's men doing it to other men. An example would be the Ukrainian and Russian conscription, they deny the rights of these men and boys because the leaders abusing them happen to be men.

A lot of these people ignore how women use other men to attack other men (white knighting) or how abusive fathers tend to direct all their venom to their sons.

In many countries, a major issue for men is that misogyny is given a broad definition and is presumed to be present in anything that harms women short of absolute proof to the contrary, while misandry is given an extremely narrow definition (basically, explicit Valerie Solanas-type hatred of men) and is presumed to be absent from anything that harms men short of absolute proof to the contrary.

Basically, men are subjected to an extremely strict burden of proof when they allege misandry, unlike women when alleging misogyny, which I think explains why people think misandry is less serious or common than misogyny.

By their 'logic' I SHOULD be a misogynist due to the years upon years of abuse I suffered at the hands of women while growing up.
Not only that but because I endured this violence I would be justified in being a misogynist..

But i'm not.
Because I know that it's not healthy or right to blame an entire GENDER for the actions that SOME of that gender took against me.

Just because I was abused by some women when I was young does not automatically mean that ALL women are abusive..
But if I tried using the same rhetoric feminists do like "I can't be sure which ones are abusive so i'm justified in assuming any woman I meet is abusive until I know otherwise" I would be called, you guessed it: A misogynistic incel..

Feminists do not want to acknowledge Misandry because then they would have to acknowledge that women aren't the universal victims their dogma paints them to be.
At best they will say that IF misandry exists then it is 'rare' and 'less harmful' than misogyny.. based solely on the fact that they are not the targets of misandry and nothing else..

Well, most men die 5 years prematurely, mostly due to gender role stereotypes, partially due to blatant discrimination. This loss of life is incomparable to anything else in today's society, other than a global war. But nobody gives a sht, so yeah, misandry kills way more than misogyny.

I've often compared feminists and white supremacists in this regard, with how both groups are in denial about how their own demographic has it's share of evil people who commit harm against others but they'll always downplay it and demonize the demographic they deem to be their mortal enemy. With feminists it's the entire male gender, with white supremacists it's all Jews and non-white people. Bring up to a feminist there's women who hate men for their gender and also rape and kill men, they'll still blabber on about how it's primarily men raping and killing women and downplaying when it's the other way around. Bring up to a white supremacist that there's plenty of bad white people who commit crimes, they'll still go on with their usual "black on black crime" BS and willfully ignore that plenty of white criminals also exist.

This is a good topic to have here someday, the similarities feminists and white supremacists share. It's truly frightening and disturbing how much the two are alike, like one is a variation of the other.

I think many women (as well as men who are lucky enough to not be hurt this way), literally can't fathom what its like to be automatically labelled a monster despite never doing anything wrong. They're used to getting tons of affirmation, compliments, easily finding people to date them, etc. A good analogy is the ultra-rich not understanding what its like to be hungry because they've never felt it. They don't know what its like to approach women and get told "no" over and over again despite all the effort they put in, then get called an incel who must be a creep if he never earned a yes. Because in the case of women, they don't bear the burden of initiation and getting judged for outcomes beyond their control. If they're "higher-tier" guys, they always got yeses, so they think its a lot easier than it really is.

Of course rape is way worse. No one is saying it isn't and that also has nothing to do with the argument. It affects maybe 1 in 20 women? That's fortunately pretty low. Probably the lowest its ever been in history. (Honestly, its pretty amazing when you consider men are now more demonized than they ever have been). People have no idea how lucky we are to live in modern society, despite its long list of flaws. But there are so many men for whom the above paragraph sounds relatable. At least half, maybe more. And that goes on for, what? 10 years? 20 years? Their whole lives?

Its like comparing apples and oranges. Totally different problems. One is a lot more fixable, however. There's no magic spell that will turn bad men that rape into nice guys. But we could stop treating men like shit tomorrow if we really wanted to. Saying "I won't lift a pinky finger to help you with your problems until you move mountains to fix mine" is a sign of selfish person.

I think what's often left out of these conversations is the extreme violent misandry that other men can enact on men they view as lower status or lesser than them simply because they are men.

It's oft dismissed by feminist-leaning people as being a problem that only "the males have to solve" and is woefully self-inflicted. I've said this now and I'll say it again, replace man with "black person" and these feminist talking points immediately turn into hateful/racist rhetoric nearly immediately.

I'd also say that years of neglect of male sexual abuser survivors, male IPV survivors, homeless men etc by feminist organizations and government insitutions also confers misandric neglect in the same way that active discrimination against POC confers institutional racism.

Anyone who denies this just simply hasn't bothered to become educated on the subject.
