(Vaush is an edgy leftist Youtuber, for those of you who are unfamiliar)

This video is confusing as hell. Most of the video is just straight-up MRM talking points. He rants about toxic femininity (catty women, "Disney princesses" obsessed with performative romance, "I'm not like other girls"), domestic abuse against men (even saying that the incidence of domestic abuse is a 50/50 split among genders), and rape against men.

Then he says (paraphrased):

"Everything I'm talking about is feminism. All of these problems stem from patriarchy. 3rd wave feminism is designed to address these problems, and is every bit as interested in men's issues as women's issues." (He also kind of shits on 2nd wave feminism, and blames it for the male-bashing aspects of the feminist movement)

Does he sincerely believe that 3rd wave feminism cares about these issues, or is he (to put it very cynically) just co-opting feminism to push an MRM agenda? If it's the latter, do you think this is a good strategy to advance men's rights? To be honest, I have serious doubts about how successful a progressive movement that defines itself as anti-feminist - or even explicitly non-feminist - can be. Maybe advocating for men's rights within the feminist framework is the most realistic way forward.
