PS the author cites the worst examples: Mike Johnson, Mormons, "covenanters". As for "weaponised incompetence" ... that's not how it starts, so how does it get that bad? A generalised problem with all men, or are there two people in the relationship?

Very one sided. The article completely ignores the relevant fact that marriage and divorce favors women. It ignores the fact most wives are financially subsidized by their husbands. It ignores the fact this gives women a huge incentive to divorce. It ignores the fact more men are refusing marry due to these biases.

Let’s for example look at Kyle Richards who according to the article was getting a raw deal.

“Under California law, Kyle would be entitled to half of the marital assets and up to 40% of her spouse's income for child support, spousal support, and other terms of a divorce settlement. “

She wasn’t getting a raw deal, to the contrary she had a huge financial incentive to divorce.

The fact women file for divorce more than men, doesn’t mean marriage is bad for women, it simply indicates divorce is often good for women. If most alimony was paid by women to men and if it was typically men who were awarded women’s wealth in divorce settlements, I guarantee we’d see far fewer women filing for divorce.

Women don't have to worry about this - if they divorce the husband moves out and the rest of their life continues as before. However if the husband chooses to divorce he loses everything

Doubtful. Also, this article has some of the worst examples of couples - reality TV couples are about as far removed from the standard family as one can get.

Anyways, there's been a slew of articles bemoaning the state of dating for women lately, as well as the rise of a bunch of Tate-style female influencers, who tie themselves in knots to try and get what they want out of relationships that could never work to begin with. The millennial cohort is stating to realise that their fantasy relationship probably isn't going to happen.

Modern men aren't angels, but it's pretty sickening that all of these articles fail to mention how trashy and promiscuous most modern women are. Most modern women are not wife, or even girlfriend material, which is why so many women find themselves in unrequited "situationships."
