I am on therapy and my therapist (male mid-late twenties) says it shouldn't really matter.

I had 2 long term gf in my life (I am mid twenties) - one of them was a virgin, the other was far more experienced then me. They weren't that different in terms of skills. Yes, at the beginning the virgin wasn't very skilled but she was very willing to learn and she was great.

On some subreddit I mentioned that in sex the most important thing is mindset really and I got brutally downvoted. Is it really the case? Experience is really that important in sex skills overall? I am talking only long term relationships. You gotta take time to learn the other persons preferences anyway, right? And am I actually insecure for wanting less experienced partner?

EDIT: I know the older I get the harder it will be to get less experienced partner - but sill, with experience mostly comes baggage, ex boyfriends, strange stories which you don't know are true... That's what outweighing the experience part for me
