Holy hell, there are so many things wrong with this dude's takes. He is perpetuating the myth that women are some kind of weak vulnerable people who can't fend for themselves. He is promoting female hypoagency and completely disregarding their abilities, achievements, and strengths. He literally wants to treat women like very small children.

And yeah, there is NOTHING sexist or unequal about what he said... except the fact that he never talked about opposing the male draft. Oh and also, are men worthy of protection under his paradigm? I never heard him talk about protecting men.

Sorry but I fully support a female draft in the instance there is one. I don’t support compulsory military service but it’s not fair for mothers to risk loosing their sons because fathers don’t want to lose their daughters. Societal norms change and so should the meaning of equality.

Old guy has some points, but ultimately...

... the military has enough data points to show that female recruits do enough to disrupt a unit of all males, such that they defer to the woman in their unit. It does enough to disrupt mixing coed units, because the chances of success are flat out lower when horned up 18-30 year olds are hoping to get in bed with the woman in their squad.

All things considered, a "female draft" would still almost guaranteed prefer to assign those women to relatively "safe" roles in military - logistics, reconnaissance, medical. Only the top percentile would get put into field duty as snipers or other combat roles. Old guy is disillusioned thinking they'd send Mary Sue in the front lines - that is practically guaranteed not to happen. They'd train her for other roles for the military engine - it doesn't mean there wouldn't be risks against her life, but for fucks sake old man, they aren't putting her on the front lines because she'd be fucking useless there, and make the rest of the platoon weaker for it.

Women should be drafted. Simple as that.

Edit: One of my friends is in the Army, and he told me that he believes the greatest risk of drafting more women is the effect they have on men. Men tend to get protective of women, so they might think more emotionally rather than logically. Just thought that was an interesting take.

There was a discussion about the draft on twotrollxchromosomes recently. They were incited by the prospect of women getting drafted to fight for the patriarchy. And thought that pregnancy should be a get out of draft free card.

The only reason I can think of that women shouldn’t be included in the draft is that so many of them experience SA when they are in the army that it puts them in danger to have them around that many men. A point which is being emphasised by some of the comments here talking about how women would be distracting because the men are going to want to sleep with them. Please notice how there is no talk of how women will find men so attractive that they won’t be able to do their job, it is only the other way around. And in response to the argument that it’s fine to send men to war but not women - it was men who set the system up where this became the societal norm

We don't have an option, at this point.. Men aren't men anymore so someone has to be the front line cannon fodder. It's either a) Get gang-raped by enemy forces or b) die trying.. This was created by women and I will not try to fix it for them.

Guys you’re not going to win any arguments being emotional, tone down the spite and vitriol.
Yeah, society disregards the important roles men play and undermines our value, however I don’t see why we need to jump into the deep end of the trash pile. Women and children aren’t as well suited to warfare both physically or mentally as we our nor are they as suited to monotonous labour or physically taxing/crippling work. We relatively excel there so I’m not going to pretend all thing’s are equal when it comes to those aspects.
The real problem imo in society is that while men’s strengths are easy to see women’s are more emotional and social, those advantages reach into determining mass culture at every age group and culture determines ideology thus beliefs. Women often abuse that strength and have a vested interest in ignoring their own power and abuse of it, generally women have a very strong in group bias. Men aren’t like that; our bias’s aren’t holistic but specific and, in some areas, we’ll have a weak in group bias and in others a weak out group bias. Because of that men are susceptible to favouring the victim party when it comes to fairness. Women often portray themselves as victims on every aspect and get far better treatment from most other women and half of men.
Just because that’s the case I don’t see why we need to ignore reality and readily give sway to our emotions, balance it out and don’t lose your principles. Men’s rights isn’t about subordinating women it’s about having equal rights now that we’ve moved on from a society deathly reliant on the majority of men working ourselves to death. We gave children rights to a better society; we gave women the rights to a better society and now society needs to recognise we’re owed better rights than a mandatory draft to protect corrupt politicians and business interests.
What happens if women are also drafted? Nothing good for us, all you might get is some vindictive pleasure but all you’ve accomplished is reducing the value of human life even more. You think if women are treated worse, we’ll magically be treated better? No, all it’ll mean is that a new low will be created for us. If you let your leadership abuse others, you’re conditioning them to become more abusive and creating a situation where it’s more readily facilitated and accepted. So, what happens when those same people make you a victim next in a worse environment then we already have?
Essentially don’t become what you hate or you’ve lost. Don’t become emotional, including giving into anger, in social situations or you’ve lost. Educate yourself so you understand every argument better than your opposition and so that you know when you’re arguing with someone intelligent where it’s worth the discussion or a fool who’ll only drag you down with them. Hysteria isn’t going to lead to progress for us, the guy in this video hasn’t said anything wrong and just because he hasn’t said anything in support of men’s rights or addressed it doesn’t automatically mean he’s against it.

As a woman I’m supposed to be at home, but the government wants to tax me and I have to work to help my husband. I’ll give up my right to vote to not get drafted. Some of us definitely don’t need it anyways.

The fact is the vast majority of women cannot pass the watered down female physical standard much less the male standard. Even if women are eligible for conscription, there’s little actual risk as only a statistically insignificant number would ever see combat.
