This is not an incel sub. Posts must be about men's rights.

It is important for us to stay on topic because people would like to get this sub banned. Posts about intimate relationships between men and women are often removed for not being on topic. This sub is not a replacement for r/incel or r/mgtow.

We often allow posts about people's personal experiences with relationships as long as OP does not generalise to all women. We want people to be able to express themselves but we must stay within Reddit's rules.

Everyone, please avoid ambiguous language that our detractors can take out of context.

Always:

Be clear that you are referring to specific women/woman. IE not all women
Say if something is your personal experience with women. IE is not generalisable
State that population trends and statistical likelihoods are in fact trends and likelihoods. EG women tend to be shorter than men, rather than, women are shorter than men.
Avoid saying or implying that something is inherent to women.

All these things apply to men or any group, but Reddit is more concerned about women than men.

I can't speak for the whole sub but I definitely do not hate women. I followed this sub not that long ago so I can't say there never was hate here. But if I see it I definitely will call them out in it. The reason I followed is because I'm sick of the misandry being normalized in society, if you pay attention in the things you see, read or hear, it's ridiculous really.

There definetely are incels here, but there isn't anything wrong with that, incels are victims of society and any illegal threats/advocating for rape or shit is not tolerated here anyway.

But there is definitely a trend in trying to paint all men's movements as incels, and trying to paint all incels as terrorists in order to censor all discussion about men's rights, and to stop more men from supporting these movements.

I've been called an incel numerous times on Reddit or other media for having "wrong" opinions, even if I was in a relationship at the time.

People think this is a hate sub because it doesn't sugar coat anything to do with women. Every sub behaves that way, this is just one of the places people are not shamed for pointing out somethign negative about women. But go to a main sub and just point out, not lie, simply point out a wrong a woman did, you'll get downvoted.

Reddit is extremely sensitive to women to the point you can't call a woman behaving badly a jerk unless it's a racist Karen. They will just excuse her jerk behavior on a bad day or depression or something equally as stupid that everyone goes through.

So this sub get's labeled a hate sub because we point out the wrongs of women and it's fine here.. because women are adults, not god damn toddlers, so in theory they should be able to handle having their wrongs being pointed out. "Should" is the key word there....

They hate this sub for many reasons.

It stands in contrast to the dominant social narrative. Men are oppressors and women are their victims. For some people, the MRM can challenge a lifetime of teaching. Challenging that is uncomfortable.
It stands at odds with the prescriptions that Feminism has for resolving men's issues and feminists plans for men. Which boils down to two things. 2a) Original sin. Men must accept their privilege and make themselves subservient good allies. 2b) Men can only be fixed by becoming feminized - e.g. cry, discuss emotions, ..
Activists feel concern is a zero sum game and feel that shining any spotlight on men's issues will cause their preferred women's issues will get less concern. eg. Feminist advocacy groups will get less money, less gigs, less opportunities, less jobs.
Many women know that they are benefiting from an unfair system but in order to avoid facing the guilt of that they have instead have lied to themselves. When you begin to expose the "lie they know is a lie", the response can be explosive psychologically.
A generation of women and girls have been given the green light to scapegoat men for all their problems. They can be casually sexist and not face any censorship or consequences. It's a narcotic they won't soon give up.
Biology. We are wired to be sensitive to the grievance of women. We work hard to give women whatever they want in life. The "women are wonderful" effect is real. Women have an in-group bias and men do not. We are wired towards male disposability. Men are built for risk. Risk in hunting, risk in war, risk in exploration and discovery. A lot of men can die trying to secure status and the tribe can go on. This makes us generally uncomfortable to men's grievance and concern for men. While all women are always valuable, humans are not wired to like the male who is down on his luck, the male who has lost the game. We like those men who roll the dice and win. A culture consciousness is required to overcome these issues.
Gender norms. Society now operates on a kind of double standard. While a lot more options exist for women, men are still expected to be independent, providers, and workers. Even progressive women are hypergamous and still look for those qualities in men. Feminists claim to be at odds with this but perpetuate it in the same step.
They hate men. The idea of sparing any concern for men is offensive to misandrists.

The fact is, that i think everyone should have equal rights, and i found r/feminists a very toxic place. so i joined this sub instead. i still have a problem with people that state “every woman is trying to make men look like a villain.” as it seems like it. i know a lot of wonderful women that i talk to and i generally like everyone equally, and the women i talk to feel the same way as i do. i can’t speak for the whole sub, but this is my insight.

Because they hate us? Or maybe they fear us. But they hate and fear all men, so this is no different.

One big thing about this sub is that men can talk together about men's issues, mostly with little or no interference from feminism. Feminism has fought long and hard to destroy all of men's fraternal organizations, and they don't want men to meet and talk on any level. Men cannot create groups in schools, on congress campuses, almost everywhere. So r/mensrights is deemed unacceptable.

I don’t blame people who at first glance will assume it’s a hate sub, since sometimes there just is hate on here. There are haters, sure. Incels too. Lots of different freaks are attracted to political movements. The most accepted opinion here is that if your movement generally accepts the hate or extremists then you're all guilty, so in the same sense that feminism is guilty of it Mens Rights is too.

The only thing I care about is if it's being used for a productive, universal good. I think there's good policies behind MRA ideas, but it's not very productive.

I know this is going to be unpopular, but it seems to me that much of the content on this sub is geared less towards positive change for the problems being mentioned and more towards anti-feminism and victimhood.

I should clarify that I do not hate men, (I am one) nor do I seek to dismiss problems like lack of mental health awareness or certain forms of inequality. However, the attitude on this subreddit that feminists are generally out to get men is rather toxic. There are plenty of examples of sexist women, but the content here often refers to these women as “the feminists” implying that feminism is a movement against men.

Regardless of whether or not there is such movement, many others define feminism as a move for equality for all genders, and the disparity in these definitions leads this sub to more of a focus on conflict than on positive change.
