Rape culture isn't against anyone. It's the idea that full consent in a sexual encounter is uncomfortable to obtain, sexual behaviour is shameful, and it is the responsibility of the individual to protect themselves from rape.

For example, it is technically true to say that if a woman was wearing less provocative clothing, it would have made her a less likely target of the rape. However, to say so puts the onus on the victim to "defend" herself, instead of putting the blame where it rightfully belongs; on the attacker.

Also, it's the idea of a rapist being some sort of monster who jumps people in alleyways, when it's been well established that rapists tend to be people that the victim knew.

First off, this guy is a sick and twisted individual for raping and killing his stepson. Horrible.

The people who are applauding this are also horrible although not to the same extent, obviously.

I wonder if a subset of those applauding this karmic justice are also anti-death penalty? Because a main talking point I hear often is how rape is worse than murder... If that's the case, I would hope that the majority of people who are anti-Death Penalty would be horrified at this case.

Edit: did not realize he hasn't been tried yet. My comments above assumed he was tried and found guilty.
