Masculinity and guns are the problem here. That's why they called 911 to summon guns and masculinity to solve the problem.

Edit: this deserves a meme.

So, the stock defense against what you perceive to be an unfair generalization against Muslims is another, even more egregious generalization against men?

[–]WaitingToBeBanned 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yes, they is actually how they think.

[–]Pariahdog119 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Even my retarded cat thinks.

For a given value of "thinks"

Also, why are retarded cats so much more hilarious than retarded dogs?

[–]WaitingToBeBanned 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Because retarded dogs destroy stuff, and cats are halfway retarded to begin with.

[–]Pariahdog119 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've seen some retarded inbred cats before (literally.) One would try to groom itself and miss. He'd just sit there, licking the air about an inch away from his fur, for hours.

[–]Elvick 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's okay to generalize men as a whole. Silly. We're barely even people.

[–]CourageousCauliflowr1 point 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

islam is a male invention, as are all abrahamic religions. hence the violence and misogyny.

Men are the driving force behind almost everything that goes on on this planet.

[–]CourageousCauliflowr1 point 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

except the creation and sustenance of life itself. which is female. but males do indeed destroy, rape, and invent all manner of silliness. then they...

  1. take pride in it
  2. tell women we have to work those dangerous, silly inefficient industry jobs

NOPE! my hubs agrees wholeheartedly. he is laughing right now. because alphas can handle it. :D

don't be ignorant...it's the parking they have trouble with.

[–]WhiteThrone 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They don't have a problem driving. They have a problem that everything else seems to keep getting in their way.

Stop signs, deer, pets, people, other cars, trees. Everything on this planet is in a vast conspiracy to drive down women's proficiency at driving.

Especially those 'men with guns' in blue uniforms called 'police' ... if they would just stop ticketing females, the reputation of female drivers would improve. Don't they know that prosecuting women for traffic violations is disproportionately harmful to women. Only men should have to be responsible for their driving habits. Women should be free of the oppression of the 'Rules of the Road'.

/sarcasm

[–]cottonthread 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not like men are great drivers either dude - though it shows in different ways. Men tend to be more likely to take big risks like speeding which means when we do crash it can be pretty bad.

There's a reason we have to pay more for insurance.

[–]WhiteThrone 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's only like, on a per mile driven basis, females have accident rates 2 to 3 times that of male drivers.

It's only like, approximately 90-95% of all professional drivers are male because females wreck too often.

It's only like, of all the people I know, the only ones without a Driver's license are females (and one guy who got a DUI). Every other male I know has their license.

It's only like, check the AAA and confirm the accident rates for females.

And the primary reason why men pay more for insurance is that men drive many, many, many more miles than females ... thus, even with lower per mile rates of infractions, they generate more infractions.

If females drove the same number of miles as men did, the freeways would be a scrapyard of wrecked vehicles.

[–]cottonthread 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It's only like, on a per mile driven basis, females have accident rates 2 to 3 times that of male drivers.

Severity of the accidents matter. If the female accidents are mostly minor parking lot scrapes and the male ones have cars being completely totalled or people injured then there's obviously a bigger impact from the men overall.

It's only like, approximately 90-95% of all professional drivers are male because females wreck too often.

If you mean professional as in truckers/taxi drivers/bus drivers then they tend not to have the best working conditions so women are less likely to take that sort of employment. If it's driving as a sport/hobby it's simply something women don't tend to be as into as men.

It's only like, of all the people I know

If we're going by anecdotal evidence my Dad is a way worse driver than my Mum, my girlfriend has had no accidents whereas I have had a couple and the majority of dangerous drivers I see where I live are elderly men.

And the primary reason why men pay more for insurance is that men drive many, many, many more miles than females

Except insurance companies factor distance (and all sorts of other things) into their quotes and women still end up paying less. They've run the statistics pretty vigorously and come to the conclusion we should pay more.

The last statistics I saw for men and women drivers were calculated according to distance and men were still worse for certain infractions. I'll see if I can find them.

Edit: haven't found my link yet but I did find this, this and this

Edit2: This good enough for you?

[–]OTTMGTOW 65 points66 points67 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah,. Keep demonizing, disenfranchising, and alienating men. That's exactly what makes recruiting efforts for Isis even easier. You're telling them they aren't wanted, your punishing them based on their genitals. You replace their role in society with the state. Yet you don't expect this will lead the disenfranchised straight to the hands of evil?

Morons.

[–]_Eggs_ 11 points12 points13 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I bet they consider victims to be "involved" in the shooting too.

[–]MotherFuckin-Oedipus 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Immediate thought goes to the definition of "mass shooting".

IIRC, the feds define it as 4 or more victims, while the most popular "source" for data is a study that defines it as 3 or more victims.

On top of that, when the public hears "mass shooting", they usually think about large-scale shootings, i.e. Sandy Hook, which makes these statistics stand out more.

Someone going nuts and killing their wife and two kids can be classified as a "mass shooting".

[–]dusty78 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

4 or more victims

Close. The feds* start at 4 or more deaths (excluding perpetrator); the other media sources start at 3+ casualties.

Casualty includes all injuries (sprained ankle getting away?) and usually include the perpetrator.

* The Congressional Research Service currently uses 4; the FBI's "Mass Killing" category used 4 until 2013 when it was changed by Congress to 3.

[–]EgoandDesire 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Its some graph that Vox.com did. Most of those shootings are from poor, ghetto areas.

[–]Ricwulf 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A lot of them also include cases of misfires. All that is required for a "mass shooting", as defined by the FBI is that 4 or more people are shot (not killed, but shot).

This list can also include defensive gun uses in scenarios where a gun was fired to disable (or kill) multiple assailants.

That way the list is titled makes it seem a lot worse than what is actually included.

[–]Blank-One 32 points33 points34 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It IS a male violence problem. When you completely ignore the psychological needs of half the population, some of them are going to snap.

[–]Eyes_Of_The_Dragon 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If all male violence disappeared then how would women get the police to arrest men on false rape accusations? They didn't think things through.

[–]CourageousCauliflowr1 point 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

those aren't needs. they are wants stemming from a sense of entitlement.

the real psychological need here is that of women to not be degraded and humiliated for male entertainment.

[–]JackGetsIt 15 points16 points17 points 10 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Million of patents filed that advanced humanity, only a handful of them created by women. The civilized world is a result of those same males.

Women love to sit on the sidelines of society and take credit for male achievement; while criticizing it's imperfections. Don't worry, they won't do anything to stop the violence either they will ask 'men' to do something to stop the violence.

[–]RunawayGrain 13 points14 points15 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Go look up any vision of a feminist Utopia, and one thing becomes obvious fast: They have absolutely no idea about the how or why behind economics, societal structure, and to a large extent human nature. Usually one of the prime tenants is having government force the scheme onto everyone else. Basically, feminists want to be the mafia don who orders someone else to do the dirty work for them.

Most of the feminist utopian dreams are big on the perks to women side of things, and absolutely barren in regards to 'How is this supposed to be built and funded' aspects, and at the same time obviously set up a totalitarian government. Most of them eat it up, because they can't see beyond the gimme's that are presented, either.

http://acculturated.com/feminist-utopia/

[–]baskandpurr 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most feminist have never had to see beyond personal benefit. Their world is a sequence of opportunities to be given things so they assume that's how the world is for men too. This shows in the idea that men are handed some fantastic advantage simply for being male. It's projection like 95% of feminists complaints against men.

[–]JackGetsIt 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I think there was an Dutch version of Survivor where the men and women were put on two separate islands. Within 8 days the men had built a Cafe and the women were stealing from each other and hadn't even put together a shelter.

There's also an entrepreneur named Samantha Brick who wanted to create a TV production company that only employed women. The company went down in flames. These are her own words, "Though I will not absolve myself of all guilt, I believe the business was ruined by the destructive jealousy and in-fighting of an all female staff. Their selfishness and insecurities led to my company's demise. When I needed the so called 'Sisterhood', believe me, it just wasn't there."

"Gender feminists are little interested in fine distinctions between radical Muslim men who slam commercial airliners into office buildings and soldiers who want to stop radical Muslim men from slamming commercial airliners into office buildings. They are both examples of generic male violenceβ€”and specifically, male violence against women."

This is a HUGE "Source Needed"
According to MotherJones.com: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/07/mass-shootings-map
There have been at least 81 PUBLIC mass shootings since 1982, of which 44 of the perpetrators were white males. I'm not sure where she got that number, but through sources such as USA Today's "Gun Violence Index" http://www.gannett-cdn.com/GDContent/mass-killings/index.html#failures I have no idea how she got "mass Shooting" since Sandy Hook, I bet she meant "Gun Violence.

[–]omegaphallic 11 points12 points13 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Those are a tiny about of men. Seriously how many hundreds of millions of men are their in America? Guys invovled in mass shootings are roughly less then 0.000006 of American men, this is no excuse for mysandry.

Or dumping on Muslims, those who do massing killings that are American or Canadian Muslims are also a tiny, tiny amount of the North American Muslim population, they also represent no body.

People have to stop looking for scapegoats for these tragic killings, the one responsible is the one who committed the crime, that's it.

[–]boringcarpets 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

The vast majority of men never matters to feminists, only ever the select few in a million; rapists, shooters, CEOs, cat callers, manspreaders, you name it. Men make up the vast majority of security organisations, vast majority of producers of utilities, builders of homes and infrastructure, and feminists can't stand it and refuse to do it themselves, so they point out the smallest minority and blame all men to hide their own failings. Feminism has never been about equality

[–]Lethn 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While it's true that gun massacres are actually a tiny portion of crime statistics, pretending that it's not Muslims who often carry these kinds of attack out especially in the name of their religion is a fucking joke, don't be like the feminists.

[–]TedTheAtheist 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

...and the ideology they used to motivate themselves - which is usually theistic religion. Mix mental issues w/ theistic religion, and you have a really bad recipe for disaster.

[–]NUMBERS2357 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's almost like you can be against those who use these events to demagogue against men, and also be against those who use them to demagogue against Muslims.

[–]aussietoads 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's true that most mass killings by gun are done by men. It's also true that these murders are committed overtly and the perpetrators are usually apprehended or killed quickly thereafter. Does this mean women are rarely mass murderers? No. They simply use covert methods and tend to kill serially rather than all in one go. Because they use covert methods, (such as poisoning), often their crimes will go unnoticed until the body count rises.

10000 years of civilization founded, upheld and defended by men. 99.9% of everything that was created by humans were invented by men. 99.9% of those materials mined and procured by men. 99.9% of all intellectual knowledge including the words that i am writing right now invented by men but oh no, women are equal to men. political correctness gone mad indeed.

[–]Sinsilenc 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There in no way shape or form have there been anywhere near 1k mass shootings since sandy hook ffs.

[–]MotherFuckin-Oedipus 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It always depends on the definition you're using. Similar to how a "weapon of mass destruction" can be something as simple as the IED in the Boston Marathon bomber's case, the words themselves can lose their meaning quite quickly.

[–]ImNotIntoPokemon 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How many women helped stop those shooters? The point of this question isn't to criticize women, but to point out that it's men who sacrifice the most to stop evil in the world - evil whom, while might be predominantly men, are the vast minority of them.

[–]scruffist 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thought I'd take this line of reasoning to its ridiculous/offensive conclusion.

45 airplane crashes since 2001. 4 involved Muslims. 45 involved planes piloted by men. But yeah, must be a Muslim violence problem, not a men flying planes problem.

Edit: for clarity.

[–]Five_Decades 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Its actually a good counterargument to the anti-muslim arguments people like Trump are making.

[–]cottonthread 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If she'd just left it at "2 out of 998" then I think people would be fine with it. Bringing men into it afterward is probably the sore point.

Are you kidding me? We've seen how these people react when it happens to one of their own already, there have been cases of feminists literally getting raped or assaulted and they simply don't report it or try to brush it off.

These people are as badly indoctrinated as Nazis which is why they just use pre-programmed responses and buzzwords or have mental breakdowns whenever somebody confronts them with reality.

They are not the ones we should be trying to change the minds of, unfortunately, I think until they're thrown out of universities I don't think they'll ever change their minds, they're too far gone, what we need to do is gather as many sane people as possible to stop this bullshit from messing with further generations of children.

Men have more testosterone and are more prone to violent behavior than women. This means that most criminal violence is going to be done by men but men are also going to be the ones saving the day as police and military.

What is this?

[–]cottonthread 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

What about studies like this that link high testosterone to aggression? There are loads of them.

Although there have also been cases where giving people testosterone has not caused that effect, it seems it was mostly people with naturally low levels. Perhaps there is a threshold after which additional amounts cause an increase in aggressive behaviors.

[+]Cerehectus 10 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

The correlation is self evident, and I don't need to wait for science to "tell me so" to understand water is wet. I say this as a man who understands the value of testosterone. It has a good side and a bad side.
