I'm an Asian American and this hate over white men is seriously pissing me the fuck off. Yes, i've been called some hurtful things by white people, but I also got it from Black, Latino and other as well. And Asians say racist shit as well. There's assholes everywhere.

I had a white "friend" call me an alt-right shill because I sympathized with Trump voters. I told him that I could understand why someone who is struggling in rust belt states would vote Trump because they're desperate for some change. I also told him that a poor working class white male poses 0 threat to me. What's he going to do? He/she is too busy trying to get their shit together, pay the bills, bury their friends who died of a heroin overdose. In fact most of the hate I've gotten were from "top-tier" white liberals.

People are fucking struggling right now and they're desperate for change. They (including many "mediocre" whites) just want to live a decent life. And yes, some of them say hateful shit, and it's not because they were born racist, it's because there life is full of pain and it's easier to blame someone so they'll feel better. If you talk to any former white supremacist, they'll tell you that it all started with pain (broken family, friends overdosing, lack of jobs). They can change...I honestly believe it.

Media tends to hate whoever is perceived to have power. You're in the west so it's men, mostly white. I'm the black community and in Africa, black men get trapped about terribly. It's just whoever the women can readily blame

I've noticed this for decades.

It seemed to start with the invention of the "British Villain" - this was around the time Hollywood had become bored of Nazis.

The object of hate started as the privileged upper class British male (like me).
Then they dropped the upper class bit.
Then they dropped the British bit.
Then the privilege.
Next the whiteness, as they turn on Asian males.

You literally can't watch PBS or CNN or other left wing media outlets because of it nowadays. Every fucking day, they have to weave systematic racism, white privilege, minority oppression into every fucking news article.

Then after they told every minority about how our government is 'systematically racist' towards minorities, they have the fucking audacity to wonder why all of the minorities don't trust the government mandated vaccine when a pandemic breaks out because of shitty safety protocols from them fucking around with gain of function and viruses in China.

Yes I agree. I've literally listened to people saying we're not special because of how common we are, and then demand more Asian representation. I was rather shy at the time, but I wish I'd pointed out that the Asian population was significantly larger than us dirty white boys. There is nothing about a person that is 'average' in the grand scheme of things. Everyone has different attributes, flaws and characteristics. If the only thing helping you come to a decision about someone is their race, then you're the one who needs to change their views.

It hurts to see and read this. It is this kind of behavior that (I think) is leading to the feminization of men too. I think that the media is definitely going after white men and now teens. I would elaborate more but I don't want to get too far from the point.

I haven't heard that one, but one I often hear on the news is "pale, male and stale", in reference to a lack of diversity among politicians, etc. I think it's pretty offensive, and I think that would be readily recognised if it were targeting any other group.

I have no pity what so ever for the LGBTQ+excetera. I was raped and battered as a kid then bullied all my youth, been married to a psychopath then divorce raped then homeless 10 years ago. No one ever raised a single finger to help me. I developed a thick skin. Then for a few words not going their way, feminists or whatsoever gender are "offended" or broken. I think the real problem is, in the contrary, that they are too privileged.

The whole mediocre white man thing is meant show how latent racism works. As in the white man who isn't particularly smart or charmisitic or educated getting promotions over much more qualified candidates who aren't white males. They are "mediocre" in every sense of the word and for other people to accomplish the sames things they'd have to work 10 times harder because of how the system is rigged. This meme is much more of boomer thing because it used to be much more prevalent.

You left out a word, on purpose or not, that changes the saying's meaning. Audacity. More and more people are against the AUDACITY of a mediocre white man. That audacity gives them the perceived entitlement to the best of everything, while placing little to no effort in striving to be the best version of themselves. It's the guy who places no emphasis on his own personal health, hygiene, or physical appearance who feels entitled to a physically fit, beautiful supermodel and takes it a step further by putting down any woman they perceive to be less than their ideal. That is the problem. The audacity. Not that they are average (mediocre) white men. It's the attitude of entitlement that comes with this group of men.
