So I'm having a baby in April. I don't know yet if its a boy or a girl, but if its a boy I don't want to circumcise him.

Everyone is asking about this, and I find it very rude - isn't this supposed to be a private decision between and the father?

I realize it is more common in America to cut, and while I don't want my son to feel like a "freak", I hope I can raise him to understand that all people are different and that there's nothing "wrong" with him. I've seen both cut and uncut penises and personally have no preference for either.

Here's where it gets complicated: the father is cut, and he has a son from a previous relationship that is cut. While I admits to thinking that it is wrong and he wishes he had a choice in it for himself, he circumcised his first son and wants to do the same to our son if we have a boy.

I don't understand this. We are still discussing (not fighting over) pros and cons. Can anyone give me some perspective? What would you do? If you are circumcised, do you wish you weren't or are you happy? If you are not, then do you wish you were?

EDIT: I posted this here for support in making the decision to circumcise my son, were I to have one. However it seems that few people actually read this all the way through. I don't have a penis. I don't know what it's like. I wasn't asking for the theoretical pros and cons of circumcision. I know it's wrong and I simply wanted to understand how men felt about it and what they wanted for their own sons.
