Because women follow the pack. Most can't tell if a man is 6 foot or not. You can literally see women who are shorter than a man think they are taller. They also have no concept of numbers or money. This applies with penis size as well. Some woman saying she wants a foot long dick when she has troubles with half that. It's just fake criteria they say they want to make themselves feel like they are not basic.

I once met a woman who thought I was 6'3" when I'm only 5'11". She drastically overestimated her own height and was actually 5'8" in high heels.

Honestly, I think the whole height and "package" "preferences" are just a means of women trying to thin out the crowd. They have an overabundance of options even if they are of average looks. There are a ton of thirsty dudes out there and even average women could, theoretically, get a boyfriend in 24 hours if they wanted to.

So, since they should only get the "best of the best" (like they are deserving of anything close to that), that is why they specify height, salary, pipe-size because these are either unchangeable or nearly impossible for men to attain if they are not already there.

Don't get ashamed or buy into this garbage. Do what is best for you and keep being awesome. Women get off on rejecting men and causing them shame so don't give them the chance.

Because all men are supposed to be Captain America. I used to see a therapist in a less than safe part of town. He told me that the women refused to show for work unless there was a man there to protect them. He was the only guy there sometimes. Now comes the funny part. This guy was AT MOST five foot nothing. Almost a midget probably, yet he was their bodyguard. Even funnier, one of the women he was supposedly protecting was bigger than he and I put together. He had no fight training and no weapon. See, many women think we're invincible. Another case. I never put up a single roof shingle in my life. My knees hurt if I have to crawl for 15 minutes. Yet one time my mother asks me if I could reshingle her roof. I nearly died laughing. lol This is why women think we can walk out at 3:00 AM all night in total safety.

Well sure, if you have the proper premise things make sense.

The premise is " Whatever is best for me and feels good for me is right and whatever is not is evil"

So body shaming refers to weight ( within someone control) because it effects women more. But height is perfectly fine to shame because it is a pressure on men.

Then just any logic/ changing the meanings of words/values can be created to support the end goal.

It is possible that much of the insistence on tall men that most women have now is due to the fact that many of them grow up in fatherless homes, or otherwise alienated from their dads. This seems to be a father fetish. They may be seeking the protection and support that they were deprived of as children.

Any time I see a woman who suggests she refuses any man under 6', I just realize she has a father fetish, and treat that as the red flag that it is. You don't want to be a part of a relationship with someone like that. That is the creepy ick territory.

It does make me wonder how did this universal belief of "unfair beauty standards for women" ever become a thing? How does anyone lead a relatively normal social life and not notice how much of a lie it is? Literally the only standard that vast majority of men can even afford to have is "do not be fat". And even for that they are villified if they speak out loud. Anyone can make a dating profile of an unattactive woman with no makeup and no standards and still get more matches than an average normal guy. I don't get it, is it the case of repeating something enough that it becomes true or what.

"Unrealistic" standards for women: don't over-eat. That's literally it. (Optional, because there are plenty of guys that are into that.)

Unrealistic standards for men: be in the top 5% for height, penis length and income.

I always come back to that OK cupid study that found women rate 80% of men as "below average", while men only rate 20% of women as "below average".

My boyfriend is 6’3 and I love the fact that he’s 6’3 only because it takes him off the market for girls who demand a guy be super tall lol. I’m 5’9 and my 2 previous partners were 5’7 and 5’8 (I.e. average male height), I’ve never seen the point in putting so much importance on such an arbitrary quality. I felt insecure being a tall girl for a long time because short girls put so much emphasis on being cute and small, girls don’t typically like being associated with “big” so maybe I empathize with the struggle a little more. I mean granted, guys have no issue with tall girls and don’t put tall girls down but short girls do.

My bf previously had dated really short girls, like under 5’1 and they’re always the ones who demand a guy be over 6 feet. If a girl thinks this, especially when she’s that short, she’s either an awful person or really stupid. If that girl has a son, even with a guy who’s 6ft or taller, that son has a major chance of being under 6ft because of HER genetics. So you mean to tell me that you’ll see your own son as unattractive, undateable, and not worth anyone’s time because he inherited your genetics??

As a bi male I like guys who are taller than I am because I feel like they'd protect me. That's my guy instinct when I first see them, but I'm also a guy so I know it's actually who they are that will protect me or not, whereas women are thinking of the baby-making aspect and expect protection because tall

You can't really compare makeup to a biological trait like height. While I agree the standards are pretty ridiculous, it is one grounded in facts. The fact is, being tall is a biological marker for having good genes, and this makes you more attractive to women. A large majority of women like tall men, that's just how it is.

However, that's not to say shorter men can't be attractive. There are many factors that play into attraction separate from height. Confidence, for example, is a huge boon.

Most guys are under 6ft and do just fine. My coworker is a short king and is very popular with the ladies.

Dont let the bias of the internet warp reality. You dont have to be the absolute representation of a 6ft+ greek chad with a chiseled body. Neither do women need to be skinny with big boobs with perfect makeup.

A female YouTuber I occasionally watch said that women are conditioned into the idea that taller men are more protective than shorter men. It’s for their own safety and survival. Plus taller men make women feel more safe. A lot of what women look for in a man is for her own safety and security.
