So I checked out the links in the wiki. What I found where links to famous feminist books, blogs and news articles. The most "scientific" of the link is behind a paywall. It appears that it is co-written by another feminist.

According to the abstract, they literally looked through 628,745 user comments for mentions of women and MGTOW....in a MGTOW forum:

This study seeks to understand the structure and content of discussion within the forum of the official MGTOW website. To do so, it undertakes a content analysis of comments (n = 1012) inspired by Freelon’s (2010, 2015) multi-norm approach to studying online communication, which draws on the liberal individual, communitarian and deliberative models. It also assesses the broader patterns of commenting (n = 628,745) participation amongst users (n = 33,863).

They then argued that all one to one references of MGTOW and Women is a "unit" of misogyny.

The results suggest that debates on the forum combine elements of each communicative approach and that this reflects a contradiction in their underlying ideology of separation and individualism.

I hate to Godwin this, but its late and I cant think of a better analogy: This like Nazi Germany conducting a study proving Jews are inferior. The bias in the "study" is blatant.

Wikipedia has been run by radical leftists for a while now. The feminism page has basically no criticism within its criticism section, and this applies to most progressive movements and ideas (see "non binary" for example, not a word about it being claimed by many to be an entirely made up category with no basis in biology (even if you oppose this view, as an encyclopaedia you must acknowledge it exists)). I don't know what the solution is, but wikipedia can't be trusted for any topic that is even remotely partisan due to people losing the ability to be impartial.

While I generally agree with the sentiment present in this community, we have to acknowledge that there will always be vile and toxic people within any group and if we deny their existence they will be the forefront of what people see it as. Same goes for the political left and right. Wokelords are the worst of the left, KKK-types are the worst of the right and neither are the only members of those groups.

And I can really understand when somebody looks shortly at MGTOW and comes to these conclusions because all you will see online is people embittered and angry. People who are fed up with the potential risks that come with heterosexual relationships, especially in a legal context. Which I understand too. Where people's minds ring bells is when they see an open will to not be with women. They don't get the chance to see the depths of social and legal inequalities between men and women (going both ways oftentimes) and instead it all triggers their inner expectation of "they uust don't like women."

If we don't want to be perceived as anti-women then we need to recognise faults and flaws, point them out and point out why misconceptions exist and why they might or might not be justified.
