I agree, it's a personal account taken and applied as a whole to the stereotypical, society-pushed idea of "what a household looks like." If you don't feel the article is talking about you, then, more than likely, it isn't. If the article makes you angry, then you're probably on the side she's talking from, without realizing it.
It's an anecdote, and I agree the article does not handle the entire issue successfully. But there are many facets to every issue, nothing is black and white, and everything is more complicated than it seems to be.
I never said I know you. Of course the article making generalized statements is upsetting, it should be. But I've seen the same situation from all 4 sides: Partners who don't do work, as the one who doesn't pull his own load, as the one who pulls most of the load, and then I finally found someone that I share equal work with.
I already said I agree the author made an unsuccessful attempt to drive her point. There is a point in it, but because of the gender specific language used, most of the core message is lost. If she had made the same article without assigning genders, it would have been much more successful.
I feel like you're being confrontational just to be confrontational. I never said the comic applies directly, just that most people who it makes angry probably have experienced the situation first hand from the other side, and feel this comic is incorrectly representing the issue, which is true. I agree completely that this comic does not represent the issue truthfully

The author doesn't acknowledge the cognitive load of other areas of life, such as maintaining and providing finances for the family.
