Things like VRchat already exist, they just tend to attract young nerds who have a VR setup, which is mostly internet addicted guys. I know of several people who've met through spaces like that and dated.

Well the original matrix they really never satisfactorily answered the question of why humanity is better off being unplugged from the illusion and into the broken reality. Perhaps it's assumed that the fundamentals of truth & reality is worth any price, and sacrifice. That it's so obvious, anyone and everyone would pick the horrid truth over the enslaved illusion*.

*yes technically humanity was enslaved by the machines as an energy source (or processor source if going by the early drafts), but what does the alternative offer besides the fundaments of truth and freedom? Values that are effectively notional as there's no longer a functioning biosphere for humanity left once the machines are gone/defeated.

Being constantly online isn’t helpful now nor will it be helpful in the future. The reason men and women have such hard times communicating is there is less and less of it. Everyone is just online all the time. You know who has less hardships socially? Those that aren’t as much online.

It's not as if all, or even the majority, of dating issues are due to how people look. Trying to date in VR still means you need to be bothered to meet people and confident enough to do so. You still need to communicate well to maintain relationships. You still need the person you're with to like you. You need your sex drive to not have faded due to age or mental illness or your partner annoying you or whatever to have as much sex as you once did. And people would generally like their partners to actually be physically there.

Guys it is that bad out there or what? I get that dating younger when average or with crippling life’s issues is difficult, but you grow old , earn more money , stable life and better tips to take care of yourself. Dating become easier. I’m myself a late bloomer and I couldn’t care less about body count or beta buxx or all that shit form the internet , and no I’m not with a single mom or anything like that, I just convince myself it wasn’t a problem , and it stopped to be one. Don’t go to extreme view like that , I promise you guys life get a bit easier with women as time goes by

Women right-sizing their definition of "attractive" is the most effective and realistic plan. For many women physical appearance is less important compared to feeling an emotional connection. Many tools from cognitive behavioral therapy can be used to modify women's thoughts to the point where an arbitrary man meets their definition of "emotional connection" or whatever. (I can't get into all the techniques here, obviously.) Keep in mind: this proposal doesn't actually harm women; the opposite, really. From the woman's perspective she magically gets way more options since a lot more men now meet her definition of "attractive." It helps men because now more of them will get sex/relationships/not-lonely.

That way, there's no reliance on somehow getting advanced technology.

Lets say hypergamy is definately real. What will this achieve. If everybody looks hot, then yes hotness won't matter anymore. Women will still want the best. So how does one become the best in "The Matrix". Any skill or ability can be uploaded. Being a doctor, a lawyer, good at King Fu, will mean jack shit., The average man will be a master of everything and be ripped to hell. So what will put a man so he is above those around him and thus attractive. Some near incredible feats of god knows what. Going to th egym is easy, socialising and building a social group is probably still easier than becoming above average in a virtual world.

I think it could also "fix" deadbedrooms since couples might use this virtual space to re-date and rediscover each other as if they were teenagers.

How, its still you, your thoughts your beliefs, except in a fake world,. You will be doing what now any average guy can do. So what will make you stand out abov ethe other guys. What levels of shit test will women now have to throw for you to prove yupoi are not fake, This would take shit testing and the 80/20 principle to a whole new ungodly level.

Why would anyone interact with other users and not just with the npcs? Why would you not just enter an environment where you are loved for how you are, instead for an avatar you designed to meet the requirements of other USERS?

You don't need to fix dead bedrooms. Everyone just has sex with npcs if they want to.

Other than that: you already have the ability to choose the clothing for your avatar. What do you make out of it? Are you standing out positively from all the NPCS?

I doubt it would. I just don't think it is possible to have such perfect knowledge as to create an experience indistinguishable from reality while also being for lack of a better word tangibly different (such as a different appearance). Certainly not for people that continue to switch between the two. No matter how convincing, at some level people will know it to be fake and be left wanting. Kinda the whole point of The Matrix.
