Just a train of thought that came up when I saw people compare how women are more into sex in their past and then once they settle down and get married and have kids, the sex plummets. (Cock carousel to starfish sex.)

The way I see it, those women were being stimulated and aroused by the novelty of the people they were with, therefore they were more aroused.

And when they get married, the comfort and the familiarity kills the desire.

With men there are cases where seeing their wife as a mother creates the madonna/whore complex where they are no longer sexually interested.

There's also a really great Ted Talk about this exact topic by Esther Perel.

So, man or woman, do you think comfort kills desire? And what fuels desire in your experience? And does it sustain itself over time?
