Where is your definition coming from because that's a crazy definition that doesn't match any of the definitions I've ever seen. It's certainly not what I would call dread game. It's fairly manipulative and really feels like a strawman definition of the term.

Notice how even the most EXTREME actions there (returning flirtations) are merely returning, not initiating, flirtations...which would be cheating and crazy emotionally manipulative. Notice how even merely returning is highlighted by him as being not the best way.

'Dread' game is simply the response to being taken for granted: by working out, by focusing on your own interests, by not immediately responding or chasing her when she demands it, you are not aiming to emotionally abuse anyone...You are just working on improving your relationship with yourself. However, it's called 'dread game' because EVERYONE SUBCONSCIOUSLY SENSES that people who have a good relationship with themselves is naturally attractive.

It sponsors 'dread' because everyone knows that if you are in a relationship with someone who is attractive, independent, and self-actualized, its usually a bad idea to take them for granted, so you suddenly realize subconsciously 'oh shit, I'm taking them for granted, I better stop doing that' and then you DO.

Notice how nowhere in the suggestions for 'dread game' do they say ANYTHING about dishonesty or fostering low-self image in your partner or manipulative houses of cards of lies about fake other women or explicitly cheating or anything crazy and deceitful like that. The goal of dread game is to defend yourself from being taken for granted by becoming the sort of person who is worth not taking for granted, not emotionally terrorizing people. If you have to emotionally terrorize your girl to make them care about you you should simply dump them and find someone who will give a shit.

I know if i tried dread game on wife to get her to change something about she would just laugh and tell me to go fuck myself Or if i tried to maintain it for a long period of time. She would grow tired of it and just leave.

Yeah if you did any of that crazy manipulative crap anyone with self-esteem would laugh in your face or tell you to go shove it. RP agrees with you there.

If you make it obvious that you're consciously trying to create such an image and only doing it to get what you want, then yes, it will fail since it will be obvious that it's artificial. The trick is to make it seem (or have it actually be) effortless and unintentional.

One of the studies over at heartiste claimed that security was the biggest reason for women falling out of lust in marriages, dreadgame seems to strike at that very failing. Since marriage was diluted since the 1st wavers time, it might be far more efficient in today's boyfriend-girlfriend relationships.

Where the fuck did you get that definition?

I could include in the definition of [intimidate], "example: burn your house down" but that really misrepresents the nuance and meaning of the word. It sells short the variety of ways the majority of people intimidate.

Here's a better definition:

Dread game is a demonstration that you do not have a scarcity mindset, and have no inhibitions about leaving where you are unhappy. It is the implicit statement that if she does not add value to your life, you will find it elsewhere. You will replace her. And most importantly, it is her belief in your ability to do that.

So dread would most commonly be me hanging out with my female friends. Dread is my girlfriend knowing I am desirable, and I have options, and making sure she is never to stop competing for me.

This doesn't need to be said in any words, ever. In fact, I could assure her she is my world all day and dread will continue to stay in effect.

Dread didn't always even have a name. It is the default state of being for a man with options. It is part of their inarticulable charm which they struggle to express but can't.

Quick answer. No, it would not work. And the sugarcoated crap comments below about it just being to demonstrate that you're cool...bs IMO. Dread is meant to make your partner fear you, no less. If it were just about doing you own thing and pursuing your bliss...well why wouldn't it be bliss game?

IMO it probably works pretty often and people manipulate each other constantly, both intentionally and unknowingly, so it's not some huge crazy evil genius move. That said, it's not the most mature way to go about getting what you want.

Edit: Might be worth adding that I got dreadgamed a lot in one of my past relationships. It totally worked up to a point. It did make me feel jealous and needy at times, which I suppose was the desired effect, but it also made me feel disrespected and over time that led to a tipping point where I just broke up with him.

I will give you 2 situations in which I tried this, one failed, and one succeeded.

Scenario 1 (Success): This one girl I was dating for about 2 months went out with a group of friends (her friends) and myself, to a strip with a lot of clubs on it. She happened to see a guy friend she knew and excitedly ran up to him and practically jumped into his arms with excitement (this was outside of the club). Instead of waiting for her outside of the club, I went inside with her friends and starting talking to different women. You-know-who taps my shoulder shortly after and starts apologizing profusely for acting the way she did (I didn't even bring it up as an issue), and clung to me like flies on honey and kept grinding me (earlier in the night she was not as excited).

Scenario 2 (Failure): So this pertains to a different girl 2 months in. The day after an AMAZING Friday night date, she starts sending me texts the following evening in hopes of starting a conversation about something trivial. At one point in the middle of her conversation, I just stop all contact with her until the following Wednesday to set up a date for the following Friday. So instead of telling her in the middle of the conversation, "Hey save it for our next date" I just shut her down instead. In reality I just didn't feel like texting, but no doubt she thought I was on another date with someone else, and I think that lingered into successive dates based on her future behavior. In retrospect though, it doesn't surprise me that dread failed because she really did nothing wrong but I still gave her the impression that I was talking to other women.

Passive dread game is one of the keys to a healthy relationship as everyone knows beta men are invisible to women. To be passively displaying value makes your women attracted to you. In a healthy relationship Active dread game isn't required. A hilarious example of active dread given the other day was sending yourself flowers. No women in a serious relationship would be able to resist the thought that a younger, pretty girl is trying to steal her man.

However if i ask her something or bring something to her attention in way that doesnt provoke or incite anxiety in her, things actually happen.

My ex was 31 and dread game worked fantastically on her. The thing is, she was dreaded by basic shit like girls posting flirty or even non flirty stuff on my instagram, or even following me on ig, or me hanging out with girls one on one. She tried to dread me back but I really didn't give a fuck because I knew she wasn't attracted enough to most of her orbits she hung out with to actually fuck them. Nobody wants to admit they play shitty games like this because its childish, but in reality most people do this all the time and deny it. Girls truly are masters of plausible deniability.

I remember I was watching the show Daria back in high school, and there was one episode where they were dealing with their parents adult work world, and Daria's friend said "OMG this is just like high school," and Daria replies "I have a bad feeling we are going to be thinking that the rest of our lives."
