The point is to keep the woman from leaving them, that way they get to do whatever they want without worrying about consequences.

A woman with a job can leave and get custody. A woman with a social life will see other women's relationships and realize there's a problem. Confident women won't be too afraid to leave.

Not under the current divorce regime where it's no-fault, for any reason. The way to go is to have a prenup that recreates 1960s era divorce laws to the fullest extent legally permissible (adultery, incapacity, imprisonment. Those are the only possible grounds for leaving the marriage .)

A real marriage, not cohabitation with paper (it's true, that is what marriage is now, but was not until very recently).

TRP is a bunch of men, who want sex. That is pretty much it, you are mixing MGTOWs and MRAs with people from the red pill sub.

"The red pill", is a sub about achieving sex. That is it. Nothing more, nothing less. Some talk other things but mostly is related to the second definition.

"To take the red pill" is an expression of the manosphere that means to see how things are in reality. Like, how hard life as a male is nowadays or how feminism is the new mainstream.

Do not mix the manosphere which is a series of groups mostly composed by men to discuss men things with the red pill, that is one of such groups. Many groups in there have clashing ideas and thus hate each other, like TRP and MGTOWs for example. Both are also part of the manosphere.

But lets address the issue at hand shall we?

Men most just do not care about women's choices, from housewives to CEOs, all we care is that she can be a wife and a mother. That is it. If she does a good job, she can have a return in that.

Most of manosphere's followers do not care if a housewife (aka, someone whose work is taking care of the family) asks for an acceptable provision after divorce. This is only fair. But when was the last time you met such a thing? Almost all housewives I know are from rich families which after a divorce ask for a (not small) fortune that she did not take part in making. Or working women whose can easily provide for themselves without the man's help whatsoever.

Like I said, we do not care about women's choices, we only care about her work as a wife and a mother. And ask for a fair treatment. You can ask provision, just not break our backs in the process okay?

First of all RP men usually don't want to marry but since we seem to be talking about those who do want to marry and also want a stay at home wife/mom I will limit my response to that situation.

I think that is the problem. The kind of men that knows about TRP and still wants to marry would be the kind of men that takes marriage seriously. There is no end to a marriage, or at least there shouldn't be. It is (should be) a one way trip.

She will never suffer all the career opportunities and progression she is losing because she will be supported by her husband. And there should bever be a division of assets because divorce is not an acceptable option.

By the way, I think that is a stupid plan for a man to have. I want simillar things and I know that the only safe way to achieve that state is keeping relationships LTR only. Marriage is unfair, no one should get prizes for bailing out. Marriage and no fault divorce as they are today are a failed incentive structure. They reward those who quit and leave instead of those who break their backs trying to make the relationship work.

That's not what the red pill fundamentally is. At most, you're taking a sample of some of the worst commenters at TRP.

TRP is a model of human sexual relations, combined with a self-therapy program for romantically unsuccessful men. Is it flawless? Nope. I think it has some problems and isn't a particularly good therapeutic space either. But you're totally misconstruing it.

That said, let me be charitable. TRPers want chaste women because they divorce less, and the costs of divorce, to a man, are typically very substantial. If you read up how men are treated in divorce court, you'll see that the fear of divorce is VERY UNDERSTANDABLE.

If men faced lower costs in the event of divorce, they wouldn't fear it so much. Maybe, if you really want to reduce slut-shaming or the demand that women be chaste, you should campaign for fair treatment for men in divorces.

TRP men are trying to get sex (not a marriage). Insisting on a working woman whom is your equal in income will result in getting a lot less sex.

Not only that, but the simple fact is a majority of women believe that they essentially deserve a man who is at least as much of an earner than them, if not moreso. Women are culturally encouraged to practice income-related hypergamy and to never date 'down'. So if a man were to insist on working women with similar incomes, he'd be competing against richer men for the same tier of women.

I should add, I do think its unfair to complain about having to divide assets accumulated during the marriage if you marry a woman and insist she be a stay-at-home mother while you be a full-time careerist (pre-marital assets should not be divided, and should remain with the initial owners). But I don't see TRP doing this.

2) The most popular stated reason that women initiate divorces is dissatisfaction.
