This post just illustrates a trend where women want to minimize a 18+ woman's autonomy when it's convenient, and then pretend they didn't when the topic of something like selling naked videos of yourself to strangers on the internet comes up.

If you think 18-20 year old girls shouldn't date 25 year old guys, more power to you. Go tell the women who date older men that. They are an adult and they can make their own decisions about who they date, and the character of the men they choose to date.

I don't get this focus on 18 years old being too young to have sex with whomever they want since the age of consent in all the countries I have lived in has been 2, 3 or 4 years lower than that.

There do not tend to be many sexual relationships with huge age gaps, as people normally choose sexual partners within a few years at most.

You can use that argument about a day not making any difference, and it is true that most jurisdictions allow some leeway when the younger partner is particularly mentally and emotionally mature, but the whole point is to draw a line somewhere to give teenagers some space to get used to their sexuality before they make their own mistakes/good decisions. After that, it is up to you, just like any other decision in life.

I know a kid aged 16 who is in the army (UK, one of the few countries where it is legal). At that age you can choose to leave education, leave the family home, get a job, etc. If he can make a decision like that, then surely he can decide to fuck a 40-year-old if he so chooses, a minor choice by comparison. If we are going to treat men and women as equal, it has to be the same when the genders are reversed.

18-year-old women do not get traumatised by being hit on by 25-year-old men. In fact, they often encourage it, for all the reasons women use their sexuality to influence men (ego, validation, acquisition of resources, social position, career advancement, etc.). Just let people get on with their own lives and make your own decisions. Women don't need you making decisions for them.

It’s weird for a guy in his late 20’s or older to be into an 18 year old. As a woman in her late 20’s the idea of dating a senior in high school is gross to me. I like the saying “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” Obviously people can do whatever they want but this type of dating shouldn’t be encouraged. I know many women who were traumatized from this type of situation.

Sexually mature (fully developed, puberty has long passed, all secondary sex characteristics are developed, and can reproduce)

There is nothing wrong with an adult human male being attracted to, or having sex with, a consenting legal sexually mature woman.

Irrelevant firstly. Secondly, as a father myself if you gave me the choice of my 18 year old daughter being with a 30 year old man who treated her right or an 18 year old man who didn't treat her right I would choose the older man. I judge every scenario as an individual case. If she's happy is what matters.

That's entirely the point and an argument against what you're saying. It's entirely arbitrary. We have to decide the age of adulthood at some point. That line has been drawn at 18. That means full adulthood and everything that goes along with it.

This seems to be based on nothing but your intuition and the cultural norms you were brought up with, combined with perhaps some jealousy on your part.

Any line you draw will be arbitrary. 18 on the other hand is rooted in biology. The fact of the matter is that the brain of an 18-year old woman is fully formed and she will have sufficient life experience to safely make her own decisions, including the right to date whomever she may choose.
