When discussing what makes a woman relationship material, I often hear the following words:

  1. Feminine

  2. Agreeable

  3. Cooperative

  4. Submissive

But I sometimes feel like this is just code for "slave", "doormat", "pushover", "servant". Just like how when we say we'd like "a guy that's ambitious"... Guys think it's just code for "a guy with money".

Since I personally don't mean that, I'm trying to extend the same good faith to guys... If we take them at their word... maybe they aren't secretly asking for slaves. Which brings me to the question in the title

How would you describe the difference between being a doormat and being submissive?
