This is the most hurtful part for most men. Most women despite themselves being x doesn't want a man who is x but want someone who is much better. This is also one reason I stopped being bluepilled and respecting women(except for those who prove otherwise).

This is clearly visible when short women are the one who attack short men the most , same way virgin women attack virgin men the most, fat women for fat men , autistic women for autistic men and so on

You don't need any study how men rate women and women rate men to show how women tend to be attracted to much more narrow set of traits than vice versa, making the pool of men genuinely physically attractive to women much smaller than vice versa. The sooner men realise and accept this reality, together with the fact that attraction is non-negotiable, the sooner than can be in peace with themselves or adapt and improve when they have the right potential. A guy who’s 5 inches shorter than the average man in his region and has a recessed chin with an asymmetrical face will probably never improve enough to be physically attractive without offering something else of material nature. Even for less attractive women.

To be fair, a lot of Hollywood actresses who are universally considered to be attractive tend to be on the taller side: Jennifer Lawrence (5'9), Cate Blanchett (5'9), Charlize Theron (5'10) etc.

Look at it this way: a tall, slim, blonde with blue eyes and legs for days will generally be seen as conventionally attractive. Perhaps even model like. People around her and herself will imagine her "league" is probably some fit tall guy with a chiseled face. No doubt about it here.

Now meet her opposite: a short curvy girl with thunder thighs and bamby brown eyes. Despite not having the proportions of a model no one thinks her "league" is a short stocky man. Her female friends will say that short curvy women are ideal and think her league is a tall sporty guy as well.

That one study redditors cite as some gotcha moment? Turns out, the men who rated themselves higher were also more generous with how they rated women. What is interesting is that women didn't reciprocate the same rating patterns.

Damn, I thought it was easy to see past makeup (considering the human brain and eyes work together to scan facial dimensions accurately).

Look at it this way: a tall, slim, blonde with blue eyes and legs for days will generally be seen as conventionally attractive. Perhaps even model like. People around her and herself will imagine her "league" is probably some fit tall guy with a chiseled face. No doubt about it here.

Provided the features overall are already attractive, as these are just halo features. There's men I've rated below a 4 on places like truerateme that also had these attributes.

Attraction is an aggregate of qualities.

Short guys can be attractive if the right combination of other factors i.e. proportions, muscles, face, facial hair, hairline, not to mention any personal qualiites. The same goes for women: the term curvy is mostly describing someone with nice proportions and a pretty face, too.

It makes sense to me that most women are above most men's leagues. To have a truly equal partner, more women need to date each other but sadly most are straight though. But some good news is that more and more are identifying as LGBTQIA+ each generation. Women are identifying as such at much quicker rates than men too. So there are more women attracted to women than there are men attracted to men - ergo women are just more attractive than men.

Important not to conflate two things. Men seem to be wired to overestimate how much attraction they are generating from a woman or women in the heat of battle, so to speak. Overconfidence was more evolutionarily beneficial than underconfidence.

But this dynamic should not necessarily impact men's ability to dispassionately evaluate men and women for appearance levels. Perhaps might impact self-evaluation even when 'outside of battle' so to speak.
