(ii) It's hard to answer this satisfactorily. Perhaps the easiest way to do so is to say that America is a country of extremes, whereas in Britain people are generally closer to the mean average, whatever you might be measuring.

There are too many social differences to list. We don't have the campus culture, we don't have superstar athletes in college / high school, consequently we don't have the gym / lifting culture to the same extent.

It's not perhaps as important to 'fit in' and be popular because a big part of the British psyche is mocking everything (which can be a strength and a weakness).

Religion has very little significance here, certainly among the traditional white population, so there is arguably less emphasis on marriage. Possibly there are legal differences related to divorce as well, which arguably makes marriage less of a financial risk (I don't know because I won't be getting married, so don't care).

There is a massive drinking culture, so usually people hook up when drunk. I don't feel that 'uncool' young people are socially ostracised to the same extent, and you don't really have to be cool to get invited to parties and stuff like that, because drinking and partying is the central aspect of our culture.

I suppose we view with bemusement the 2nd Amendment issue, and perhaps also the oft-made assertion that all of Europe is Socialist (it isn't), that we pay more taxes than Americans (look it up...we don't), the NHS is terrible because it's socialised healthcare (its consistently ranked as the most cost-effective and best healthcare system in the world), etc.

Britain is hyper-capitalist, and the City of London is the absolute epicentre of the banking industry, yet somehow Americans often come across as having this slightly odd worldview where you're not free if you don't have corporate capitalism on steroids, with no welfare, zero regulation of anything, and people getting shot every five minutes. And I know that's not a fair view of Americans, but it does come across that way sometimes.

I could go on...but finally...the psyche of America is of a positive, 'can do' nature, whereas Britain's psyche is unendingly cynical. So Americans tend to believe that things can get better, and they can improve, etc. This is why it's the centre of the self-help industry. Whereas British people tend to be the opposite, moaning and whinging about everything being terrible, and never doing anything to improve their lot. That is a generalisation, but Australians call us 'whinging Poms', which is not an entirely unfair characterisation. So in that sense, RP is a very American philosophy, whereas I would say it's a very un-English philosophy.

I live in Australia, have also lived in the US/Canada for a while. Stayed in big cities for both.

I found the SMP to be more or less the same here and there. Young people going out, dating, hooking up and eventually marrying.

However, there is a huuuuge difference between the SMP I see in real life and the SMP I see talked about on here. It's completely unfamiliar and a product of the internet. Most of the things I see discussed on here (incels, divorce rape, paternity fraud, false rape accusations, domestic violence, etc) are super rare fringe cases and not some kind of epidemic. I've never seen so many paranoid people in my life, and I hope foreigners aren't basing their opinion of American dating on this sub lol.

Undisclosed country in South America.

Most red pill concepts if not all are easy to translate to the behaviour that is seen around here.

Racism and anything that can be percieved as racism are way too big of a deal in America, here is not that bad. That has it's implications in the sexual marketplace.

Americans are (doing an extreme generalization) rich by all standards when you compare them to the rest of the world, let alone the third world. That means that around here, money is quite beneficial to a man's SMV/RMV.

Less wages and less job opportunities makes women less independent. There are few women that can afford to have a child if they don't have a man willing to pay for her and her spawn. That doesn't stop the most stupid among them from becoming single mothers. Those single mothers have their SMV tank so low that they end up with the bottom 20% of men just so their children can eat.

Also, there are very few people that have enough assets for a woman to gain something after the divorce, so divorce rape happens only to few men. In any case, most men that do have those resources will marry and most of them will lose half in a divorce.

People around here, specially men with money, care about their image, being a married man is something that provides status, "a man is only a man if he is supporting his wife and children".

So they will marry, they will lose half of their shit in divorce, then they will look for another family to support. If they are lucky, the second time will last. Usually the third woman is the one who stays.

Divorce is the way social mobility happens for women and their children... so I guess in the long run that is a good thing for society. Not for those men though.

The 1% are above all that shit. There are a few families that pretty much marry between themselves since the country exists, maybe even before that.

Icelandic.

How do you know the viewpoints are typically American? People rarely specify if they are American or not on Reddit. You'd probably be surprised at how many people you read posts and comments from that aren't American.

But I am no authority on Icelandic culture. I learned somethings from the pill. Then it got boring and old.

Americans are also different from each other. You find all kinds of people in all societies.

I'm an American and live in England--the class system over here affects EVERYTHING, including concepts of dating/attractiveness. People WILL be more or less attracted to someone based on their accent, for instance. And status (separately from wealth) is important in a way it's not in the States.

There is a party scene, but it's very different--based much more on chatting with people at pubs and bars. Clubs with loud music are generally not sexy places so much as places to hang out with friends, and you're MUCH more likely to bring someone home from a pub than a club (pub toilets often have condom dispensers, while clubs do not, fwiw). This means having good chat is just as, if not more, important than being eye-catching in terms of SMV.

Also, because it's Europe and more secular, there's a lot less sexual stigma--the n-count obsession some PPD men have would look crazy and weird here.

I was born and grew up in Canada. The media we consume is virtually all American. The odd time we do create a successful tv show or movie, the producers take effort to disguise the fact that the show is Canadian. So everything PPD says about media message of blue pill movie lies is the same.

One of the biggest differences IMO is that in Canada, religion is relatively private, whereas in USA the check out lady will say “god bless you”. In our own homes, I don’t think we’re necessarily less puritanical, but we’re less likely to try and force that view on other people. Americans all seem really into each other’s business, and I think that is partially why they’re so harshly divided. A lot of American PPD-era seem concerned with societal change rather than individual choice.

edit: ooh I just read what u/wub1234 said. We also don’t have campus culture the way it seems like USA does. I only knew like two people who went to another province for their freshman year of university. Everyone else just stayed living at home and going to a local school. You don’t have a bunch of teenagers living together and away from home for the first time, getting black out drunk and boycotting every time a prof teaches a class you don’t agree with. American campuses seem like inmates running the asylum.

Themes on PPD that seem Amerocentric to me: emphasis on women valueing a man's income, the idea that muscles can offset a weak face to a large degree, the sacred value placed on marriage over cohabitation, the idea that a man is already almost top 20% if he has a healthy BMI, all the stuff about uniquely American minorities and their cultures.

I live in Italy now as an American expatriate. Divorces rarely happen here and men aren't judged by their height. I couldn't tell you why, unfortunately.

UK London, not that different. (heavily westernised, speak the same language). Due to the lack of heavy patriotism and purist/capitalist attitude, there's less of grudge against things like social care and the idea of taxes supporting healthcare and abortions (NHS bitch!). Also I think our rape laws and divorce practices are more reasonable.

The viewpoints from the US tend to be extreme in either direction. I assume because America has such a high population that any niche movement or belief can still gain a considerable number of followers, where over here they'd fizzle out

1) I live in Lithuania (native).

While we do face same tendencies and problems society isn't as divided. Our media has talk shows with subjects like how men are choosing more shy submissive women and how career driven woomen are frustrated that there aren't enough strong men who could "handle them". Or how boys are being punished for trying to behave like boys. And in general life is pretty simmilar what you would find in western EU or northen US. It is just not nearly as excessive as in US. We (both men and women) are somewhat sceptical about things like advanced feminism or PC politics when they go to extent like you would see in Sweden. Our top social problems are how to deal with domestic violence or bullying in schools rather than gender pronouns or what constitutes sexual harrasment.

2) When I visited US I saw that people opinions ,habbits and demenor depend more on their earnings and whitch part of the city they live(and who were their neigbours) rather than ethnicity , skin colour or gender. You are also much more expressive and immediately friendly even if at surface only.

Australian here.

As far as I gather, the SMP here is pretty much the same as the way people describe the american SMP.

There is a heavy drinking culture. Clubbing and all that are a thing, but a tonne of it is just sitting around having beers with mates. Getting people to do things that aren't sitting around drinking beers is a tough sell, at least in my social circle.

Bogans are common. Aka the Australian equivalent to rednecks. Lots of blue collar jobs around. There is a common sentiment of anti-intellectualism and tall poppy syndrome. Sports are fucking huge, but pretty much just Australian football. So for most people that's what the social and sexual market place centres around. Your typical alpha here is a gruff, 6'3" football player, with a heavy Aussie accent, who works as a brick layer or something.

American viewpoints are not represented much on the pillsphere. Most of MRA has huge overlaps with the Alt Right. It is their American experience that gets the most airtime here, because they are the least likely of all North Americans to have a job, wife, kids etc. An internet connection is their greatest luxury, and since they have no one IRL who will ever listen to them, they do it here.

Question 2b.

In Western Europe except the UK, there is little separation of Societal Classes in terms of happiness. Owning more property/industry is seen both as an asset but also as a negative since you are tied down to them and never truly free. CEOs and Landlords have to deal with Laws that are stacked heavily in protection of workers / renters.

Most Western European countries also have great pensions and this further reduces people choosing work purely based on Monetary benefit and more people are happy with their jobs. This makes the different classes of society less of a heirarchy but more of alternate paths to equal happiness. So hypergamy and hypogamy are more equally prevalent than North America. There a lot of female doctors married to Electricians/Plumbers over there. At the same time your access to being able to become a doctor isn't set at such a huge monetary premium as it is in the States or Canada.

Maternity and paternity leaves, more paid vacation, better job focused education system, and better planned cities with lots of accessible green space and mass transit options are also big factors in overall well being of people.

It is ironic that America was founded on the European man's quest for more open spaces. And yet the modern American spends more time cramped inside his car commuting, shopping and less time socializing in open public plazas, beaches, community pools/spas, squares and markets.

So in North America, all this adds up to an inactive, socially awkward basement dwelling Fatty LARPING on TRP about his game, while some random fatlovin' stranger fucks his mother upstairs.

The younger generation is largely blue-leaning purple ("be yourself, but be sure to work out and look good as well"), but not as sexually active as American teens/college kids are. As far as politics are concerned, most people would lean liberal (pro-education, we have free healthcare, we have easy access to cheap birth control, it's pretty fucking difficult to legally obtain firearms of any kind).

Edit 1: Single motherhood is largely frowned-on, and financial success is more relevant than looks in the Malaysian SMP.

I am a Brazilian,

No pill but leaning red.

I find Brazil's SMP to be almost a carbon copy of the TRP description of the world.

Our culture has AF/BB, the wall and hypergamy as common sense, women who do not behave like that or men who do not think they behave like that are considered rare and naive, respectively, so most adults are mostly leaning red.

The n-count avg in Brazil is way higher than America and our sex lives start way earlier too (around 14 yrs old) as is the wall, marrying age and expected date of death. So a 25 years old woman has even more chances to die alone than the avg american.

Finally, 3% of males die before reaching adulthood and 11% of the ones that survive never get to old age, so there is an excess of women in the market. Most marry foreigners to leave this hell of a country.

The avg wage is around 8 dollars a day, on PPP. So most people have big families for tax money or just normal survival. There is no way a person can live alone in Brazil with the avg American comforts without being in the top 1%.

People are usually at work between 8-14hs per day, so the SMP has almost no 20+ yrs old people. As people who work are stuck dating coworkers or not dating at all. Those with less hours also usually study too for tax and discounts reasons.
