I do mean some men. In male spaces, whether you’re getting it, how you’re getting is a much talked about topic than it is in female spaces. To the point where for example, Askmen has specific "frequently asked" tag about these stuff, Askwomen has restrictions. Most men don’t talk about what they changed to be desirable that way.

In real life from what i've seen and online when talking about what got them over a period of not having much of a luck in terms of romantic and sexual pursuits, most men cite things like being out of their shell, being fit, being more comfortable around women, getting over a certain degree of nervousness about approaching someone and making your intentions known etc.

What i see in real life and what most men say that held them back before, were things like being timid in a way that you censor yourself too much for the fear of being perceived wrongly, trying to get a girl interested indirectly by being available and doing things for her but not being direct with your feelings out of fear of rejection, pining after a girl even after she showed that she isn’t interested that way, coming on too strong early when she doesn’t know much about you yet etc.

Then there are some guys who insists that societal conventions about being respectful is the "libido killer" and the way to get women's attention is talking down to them, pushing their buttons/boundaries, being inconsistent, not caring about their feelings etc., which amounts to generally being kind of a dick.

This is 2023. Unless you’re from a religious community that shuns sex outside of marriage, having sex outside of committed relationship has been normalized for...decades now. Normal people treating each other normally and respectfully get down to do the dirty every day. I am sure your wider appeal is affected by your attractiveness. I am sure there are people with dysfunctional love lives. I know some like that and there are both men and women who have those dramas in their lives. It's certainly not the norm.

It seems like a extraordinary claim to me that most women and men that are getting laid are doing that mostly through interactions where the man is kind of a dick to woman.

It makes me wonder where these men who are insisting this lives where the situation is so.
