The other issue is that just because married people tend to live longer doesn’t mean marriage causes longer life. That’s a correlation fallacy.

Unhealthy, unhappy people are less likely to be married and less likely to live as long. It’s a case of a root factor causing two related outcomes

Marriages extend lifespan only if couples stay together until death. As we age, we become increasingly physically debilitated and isolated from society. Having a partner around to help out & cheer us up improves quality of life immensely.

Plenty of studies have show people in relationships are happier than single people.

However, this idea isn't popular nowadays. We're witnessing a decline in relationships, whether you're a woman whose boyfriend asked her to cook food and now you're contemplating breaking up with him because he's being perceived as "sexist," or you're a man who just learned that his girlfriend has slept with 3 men and you think she's a "whore".

Future generations are going to be so fucked.

But this likely influenced in this way: attractive people are more likely to be married and attractive people tend to be healthier since many attraction markers are actually surrogates for health ( many obvious examples like healthy skin and teeth and facial symmetry)
