I am not going to blame this singularly on men or women, as their natures are innate; however the introduction of the internet is what has started this. Prior to anonymity online, people had to sort of 'mask' their sexual strategies and with that mask came also an idea of hopefulness: Hopefulness that the opposite gender was on the same page as you.

Until these concepts were discussed ad nauseum, the veil is now lifted.

Men are disgusted by women's sexuality and women are disgusted by men's sexuality, and there is no romance left.

As a man, even if I am considered conventionally attractive, it does not feel good to know that I'm only being chosen due to genetics. That if I were born a few inches shorter, shoulders a bit smaller, or developed muscle slower, that I would not be chosen by women.

I'm sure women don't like that they have rising beauty standards to achieve, purity, and youthfulness; which are unfair because these fade. The internet has pushed more and more unrealistic beauty standards on both men and women than hollywood ever has prior.

So, I suggest we destroy the internet.
