The topics of either wealth or status (or both at the same time) are a recurring subjects in debates/discussions. What makes one notice is how little both parties sympathise with each other when it comes down to those subjects to the point that neither parties get what the other party means.

I will be addressing wealth first. There is a proper example to illustrate this:

Random TRP doohicky: "A 6 figure salary is a lot of money and enough incentive for women to satisfy their hypergamy/ need for a betabux."

Random BP Hooha: "This is hardly enough incentive for women to pick a random beta with a low 6 figure salary."

Random TRP Doohicky: "nuhuh!"

Random BP Hooha: "yehuuussss!"

The argument tends to always break down to that level. The reason for that is that TRPers tend to be generally of middle class or even working class (mostly around middle class though), whilst BPers tend to be around UMC or even in some cases of UC. This causes the disagreements that occur.

It also doesn't help that a lot of TRPers are foreign either (think indians, Chinese or the other chinese) and are accustomed to a different SMP where their ability to provide is far more important to the women there than other things women in the west value more. That could be caused by their parents or anything really, however that isn't really relevant to the point. The point is that they perceive that their good salary (6 figures is a decent salary) should also be enough in the west, whilst they would only really attract women that don't have the same economic buying power (think poor women or lower/middle class).

This in return is foreign to BPers that as mentioned before tend to be of UMC and thus are accustomed to that kind of economic status so that wouldn't make them "leave their beds". They are probably thinking of salaries that are around 250k+ a year for it ro enter betabux/gold digging territory. Not to mention that there is an income disparity in the US as well.

Different states are going to have different criteria for what the definition of a really high salary is. What I noticed that a lot of BPers (and former ones and that) tend to live around the east coast and tend to be of higher socioeconomic status versus the people living in the Midwest and the west coast, where most TRPers tend to live (not to mention the home of the biggest concentration of redditors).

In the West coast there are more engineers and software engineers, who tend to be brought up with prole values (think middle class), that also happens fit the description of the average TRPer. Especially the ones that claim that their 6 figure salary is a ton of money.

Now I want to address the topic of status.

TRPers insist that status for women doesn't matter, whilst a lot of BPers insist that it does. This also boils down to the fact that TRPers tend to have prole values, whilst BPers do not.

When you are a man of prole values you tend to not care if your wife has a degree or not (you can't fuck a degree after all), because you care about a different kind of status then UMC and UC people do. Out of experience I can tell you that men or women around that level of status are being frowned upon, men especially so as their wives and children are an extension of themselves in a manner.

Those men are seen as stupid, impulsive and by proxy less trusted because of their "poor" choice in women. That is why Bill Gates married his wife and not some super model waitress in the nearest hooters/strip club. Their wives are a symbol of who they are as a person. A status symbol really.

Trump is a really good example of that, whilst being so immensely wealthy he still has prole values and that is why the Republicans and even the Democrats didn't like him. Everyone tried to keep him at an arms length for that reason.

However this is not only an UMC/UC thing. I also think it is a thing of projection (partially anyway). Women value things that men don't and vice versa, which causes this disparity.
