Giving her huge benefit of the doubt, I still think she won't be happy in her relationships, but maybe she'll do her best to make it work. Nobody can really give up the type of person who turns them on, as much as people want to. Sure, I suppose men and women can mature over time, but it's rare that their trigger for arousal will do a permanent 180. They'll either still look for a man or woman with some of the traits they really like, or settle for someone with few of the traits they like.

People who choose poorly making the conscious effort to choose better is normal and imo not a bad thing.
