Why do these pill communities even exist?

These pill "communities" represent two world views on dating. The fact is that the dating landscape seems to leave a lot of people deeply unsatisfied. If you choose to vocalize (and you don't have to), there are two main options:

Be a blue pill conformist and keep telling yourself that everything is alright and that by being good and following all the rules laid out in front of you, you will find happiness.
Be a red pill rebel and think you can figure out the real rules, be smarter than everybody else, and possibly control the game to get at least something out of it.

Naturally, the two don't get along very well. For the conformists, everybody else just gets the variety insult of the day (currently, that's being far right). For the rebels, the others are creepy and naive losers on a leash.

Red pill and similar subs are for people who can't get these things, or people who aren't getting their desired outcome out of these things, to find advice and hopefully improve their situation.

The pill ideology is really stupid. Red pill people claim they’ve taken the red pill to “see the truth” about female nature and anyone who hasn’t seen this is still taking the blue pill. As for the other colors like purple and black, I’m not sure. I saw a few of your comments, I’m so sorry you’ve been raped and groomed. That’s seriously fucked up. There were a lot of positive changes to female status that feminism contributed to. But the speed of these changes, culturally speaking, combined poorly with feminist ideology going off the deep end yet becoming the politically correct narrative.

So you have this extreme cultural change due to both female empowerment and technological advancement. This alone is going to be tough for a society to adapt to. But then feminist ideology that said there were no basic gender differences, that everything is socially constructed, and that women should be equally represented in all top fields destroyed our ability to adapt our gender roles and dynamics properly to this new world. Not only was the extreme feminist ideology anti-science, but clearly women themselves did not really believe it. You could see it in their choices of men and other behavior.

So that is the basic context you are looking at.

The Red Pill and other elements of the manosphere exist simply because they were the only accessible venue for a counter narrative in such confusing times. The foundations were basically things we had always known about gender, but were afraid to say publicly now due to the prevailing politically correct narrative. Often, the source material for TRP was better and more nuanced than TRP itself, but far less accessible. TRP and the manosphere had many excesses and there was a pervasive anger at women and/or nihilism to it.

There really is no Blue Pill community. Blue Pill just means you accept the mainstream narrative on gender enthusiastically and explicitly, or you just don't think much about it at all (and therefore are still quite influence, indirectly, by the narrative). Some people aren't so much Blue Pill as anti-Red Pill. They see the obvious excesses and problems with TRP and criticize them, but don't really have a coherent construct of gender of their own.

The blue pill only exists because of the red pill. The red pill only exists because the mainstream advice (blue pill) doesn’t work for a size-able portion of the populace. Whether or not you think that’s the majority is mostly opinion.
