my boyfriend is bi.

i used to firmly believe that a man being bi would be a dealbreaker for me. i incorrectly assumed that all bi guys were feminine, and i’m just not into femme leaning men.

then i caught feelings for my now boyfriend. i knew he was bi, we’d been friends and coworkers first for 7 or so months. i came to realize how wrong my assumptions were, and once i let go of the association between bi guys and femininity, the aversion was no longer an issue. he’s dominant in the bedroom and has a more masculine role in our relationship, and that’s exactly my preference.

his sexuality had no impact on him being everything i wanted in a partner and more, so i’m glad i was able to realize how wrong i was in my assumptions.

Yes, I have dated/slept with bisexuals in the past. It’s not a big deal so long as they will be monogamous to me, and cheating with either gender is a dealbreaker.

Yes. Bi is better than hetero imv as I’m bi myself. We could relate better in this regard. I’d also guess they’re far less conservative m/traditional in regards to gender roles which is a good thing in my book.

Yes, I prefer to date bisexuals. It makes sense to me that straight people might prefer to date other straight people for the same reason, as they're similar in the sexuality aspect.

Wouldnt be a problem for me, but Im also bisexual and that seems to be the concensus among bi women on this thread so far.

Thinking someone having sex with a man makes them less valuable or desirable is some pretty unsubtle problematic thinking. It would be a red flag for self reflection for me at least.

Yes, my fiancé is bi, as am I. He is masculine presenting, which is generally my preference, but also relates to women in a lot of ways most guys don’t. I really don’t care if a man is straight or bi, but I do appreciate the fact that he understands that me being bi does not mean anything weird (like I am going to cheat, am polyamorous, or promiscuous, which are common misconceptions I’ve run into). I also feel like in some ways accepting attraction to men makes him more secure in his sexuality and masculinity… I’ve run into some “straight” dudes who were just way too concerned with appearing straight and that’s kind of a turnoff to me.
