Ms Pao added that the revelations made in court, where she was portrayed by the defence as a difficult employee with performance issues - had affected her both personally and professionally.

Translation: "They said I was not promoted and then fired because I suck at my job and I'm a difficult person (asshole) to work with, and then a jury sided with them instead of ME! I'll show them who excels at their job and is easy-going! I'll appeal the decision!"

Not exactly the way to make a case for yourself, Ellen.

Ellen Pao was asked to pay nearly $1m (£660,000) in legal fees after a jury found in favour of investor Kleiner Perkins Caulfield and Byers.

The firm had said it would waive the costs if she did not appeal.

So have fun paying legal costs for the first trial, plus your appeal. Some people never learn the first rule of holes.

It's really sad how Pao is able to use her gender to terrorise herself into the CEO role and then keep herself there because if she'd get kicked out it'd be obviously for gender issues, not her perceived poor performance.
