I don't think anything good has ever come out of garbage like POF or okCupid. I've seen dozens of field reports come from those two dating platforms and they all end horrifically. It seems to be a cesspool of low-quality women.

I'm sure mileage varies, but I've had really good luck with online dating. I'm a software dev, hit the gym after work, and have my 3 kids part-time, so time spent in the bars or socializing in general is pretty meager. I've hooked up several times over the past couple years, and had a couple longer relationships, and a few that have continued as FWB situations. All from the comfort of my home...or the office shitter on occasion.

I've had the best luck by not communicating much and meeting for coffee or a drink as quickly as possible. No dirty talk, no posturing, no bullshit, just friendly but persistently pursuing a meetup. There ARE a lot of women on there just for validation/ego and I don't think they ever intend to go out with anyone. Who dates online and doesn't want to actually meet??? Fakes and liars, that's who...so don't waste time and meet up first.

If you're attractive, just use Tinder. Those traditional online dating sites require too much time to set up and use. Tinder is a simple "yes he's hot, no he's not" choice for women, which makes it easy for attractive guys to score big.

OP, I get that you've had a bad run with online dating, but you haven't really explained how it's a new weapon. Being messaged by a tranny and swearing off online dating is like getting a 419 scam email and swearing off ecommerce for life.

This post reeks of lack of abundance mentality. Online dating is a tool, one that you can have running passively as a background process while you continue to game hotties that meet your standards who you meet IRL.

If your profiles have been up a while and you're not satisfied with results, change them up. Think like an advertiser: run different campaigns in different markets, do A/B testing, have a genuinely strong Unique Selling Proposition in this market crowded with bland sameness everywhere you look.

I turn on my POF profile, and have to turn it off in 4-7 days because I have dates stacked through the weekend after next. It helps to be in a large dating market like Los Angeles, but even here certain people always complain that "online dating doesn't work!"

Those sites exist to offer no strings attached validation to a bunch of female 3s, 4s and 5s so they can convince themselves they have the SMV to deserve a man who is an 8, 9 or 10. It is impossible to use those sites (at least in my view) w/o causing women to get swollen heads.

Your mileage will vary. There are a lot of low quality women, yes. But there are high quality ones mixed in there. You just have to sift through the garbage to find them.

I have NEVER had a woman flat out ask for money. That's weird.

Remember, any reasonably attractive woman will be BOMBARDED with messages. I mean literally hundreds per week. But most of these guys don't know how to keep up a conversation. You've gotta be playful and confident. Luck also plays a big role.

If you're extremely attractive (top 10-20%) women WILL meet up just for sex. You will have no problem getting them to meet you. What you say will matter much less.

If you're moderately attractive forget trying to get easy sex...unless you are okay with low quality women (HB6 and below) You will need to put in work.

Most women online are looking for relationships... Even on tinder. With the caveat that if Chad comes along they will just fuck him for the hell of it. But if you're not Chad, you need to wine and dine these women. They want a romance. They want emotional-connection-type sex. Not raw nasty sex.

I've had fabulous luck on Match.com - it takes at least two to three dates, but then there is sex, sex, sex. Tinder is more like going to Cabo for a 'spring break' -- there's absolutely no filter. You get the entire spectrum of female there -- which means there is a LOT of awful garbage, and not too many gems. I actually LIKE really getting to see what a girl is like on Match before I meet her. I'm easily bored, I really like smart women with cool sensibility --I'm not just after looks - that's maybe two or three on my list. You bros might call me a fag -- I couldn't give less of a shit. I'm just performing a service here for y'all, information -wise. But you may not want my advice -- because, I don't like spinning 'plates' -- I actually like to hook up with women I'm really gonna like and have fun with. I don't just like breaking off a piece -- those days are over for me. Don't get me wrong - Tinder gets me beaucoup dates -- but I'd say 80 percent of the time they are verrry disappointing. Match is way better. PS- in terms of males versus females in general -- it's my opinion that men are just as big of assholes as women are, just in different ways. But I've really enjoyed the breakdowns and info on Red Pill -- they have been really useful for me. They just aren't balanced. But that's cool. There's a lot of dudes on here who have gotten raw dealios from women, so I get that they need strategy and game. A lot of the stuff on here can be used to breakdown asshole male behaviour just as well as asshole female behaviour -- is all I'm saying. But that's useful to do. And I DO think a lot of men never really get accurate information about women and we ARE taught to pedestal them for sure. So it's good to know the truth about BOTH sexes. Kudos.

Living in Shanghai okcupid is pretty useful. My Chinese is abysmal, so it allows me to easily find cute women who speak English and want to date western men. It is a time saver. Being scientifically minded I ran an experiment before I began using it. A lady friend allowed me to use some of her photos to set up a fake profile and check out the competition.

My take away here is that there is relative parity between the number of male and female members. 95% of the messages women receive are absolute crap. So it goes. I was living in Taiwan before moving to SH and I had five dates set up before I had even moved. They do range from women looking for fun and fucking the first night, to more mature women who need a few weeks to find success with. And of course the ones who only want marriage. Even here POF is much more single moms, not quite sure why that is.

I have heard that Tinder is starting to become popular, but with the need to have FB it is a bit problematic, FB being banned here.

You can filter OkCupid matched based on how you answer questions and other traits (education, income, kids). But yeah, a free site will have lower barriers to entry so you may see more shitty people.

I don't have any experience with Tinder, but it seems to me that you need a good pic and then the pussy will flow.

I am not a PUA but I have been using online dating for about 15 years. It works for me. It can work for you if you have an IQ over 120 and some quality literacy skills. A good bullshit detector helps to avoid the low value women.

If you are jacked but have the intelligence of a potato, then stick to Tinder.

If you have the touch of the Blarney then run day game or night game.
