but the reality is that they are incapable of sympathizing with anyone but rape victims

Is sympathy even the right word for it though, really? It seems more to me like hearing about rape just awakens a primal fear in the female brain. I don't buy that women lay awake at night lamenting the trauma their sisters endured at the hands of their rapist. They just hear about it happening and think that could have been me.

They're only sympathizing with themselves.

[–]rpkarma 21 points22 points23 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, literally evoluti--wait, solipsism?

[–]Diarrhea_Van_Frank 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Holy shit. That's totally right and puts solipsism on a whole other level. Damn.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's how empathy in general works - that's why we feel a pang of pain when we read one of the pieces of outrage porn. However, we're somehow used to the idea that woman are universally more empathic and that it runs deeper in them, which is patently false.

[–]MuzakNinja 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing that gets me is that "feminists" seem to believe women are incapable of defending themselves in the first place... That doesn't sound very "feminist" to me. A gun is a pretty powerful deterrent, whether you have a hole or a pole.

[–]culofiesta 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They just hear about it happening and think that could have been me

Same reason so many women think it's so awful to look down on fat women. They know it was or will be themselves very easily.

[–]mctoasterson 39 points40 points41 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Burden of legal proof means nothing to SJW types. One of the things espoused by feminists and others is that all rape victims should only be approached with the assumption of full belief of their story. While I completely understand this from a victim counseling standpoint, the problem comes when this (possibly erroneous) assumption is projected over all aspects of the situation. Namely because the assumption that the victims story must be true implies an presumption of guilt of the accused, which is of course the exact fucking opposite of how our justice system is supposed to operate.

I can speak from experience and tell you that people are going through criminal justice and pre law programs and being indoctrinated with this politicized belief that rape is some sort of special case in which the burden is on the accused to prove he is not a rapist.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

That's the problem with logic based on circular reasoning: Who was raped wouldn't lie about it. Since she told as she was raped, it must be true.

A bit like "The Bible is the word of God. We know that because it's written in the Bible."

[–]stuckinbathroom 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Circulatory logic: if blood flows through the aorta, it must flow through the superior vena cava. Since it went through the vena cava, it must have come from the aorta.

[–]AnotherLostCause 69 points70 points71 points 11 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

There was a post a few days ago that said 88% of all people convicted of crimes and later prooved completely innocent were convicted of sexual assault. Women are almost never charged for false rape claims.

[–]autoNFA 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In many of those cases though, the issue wasn't that the women were lying about being raped, but rather the police picked up some random black guy and pinned the crime on him.

[–]JimiJons 10 points11 points12 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's interesting. Do you happen to know what the source was?

It's important to understand that if society prosecuted women for filing false claims, from a feminist perspective it reinforces women being afraid of reporting rape, which is already an issue.

[–]Haus_of_Klaus 28 points29 points30 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is important to understand filing false charges is fucking illegal. That bullshit logic doesn't make it okay or justifiable.

[+][deleted] -8 points-7 points-6 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. The problem is defining "false" charges. They never had intercourse? Definitely false. Everything else seems like a "grey" area and it would simply never pass legislation, IMO. Yet again men are left to be demonised and left unprotected. The solution, IMHO is that we need to protect the rights and privacy of accused persons. No McJustice systems ousting alleged rapists at sorority parties, etc.

By "bullshit logic" I think you mean "bluepill logic" ie: most voters' logic.

[–]robesta 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's important to understand that if society prosecuted women for filing false claims, from a feminist perspective it reinforces women being afraid of reporting rape, which is already an issue.

They're never prosecuted because a case lacked evidence, if they're ever prosecuted it's because the case was a proven false allegation. How does that discourage actual victims coming forward?

[–]CornyHoosier 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good. People should be terrified of submitting false police reports in general. Individuals who file fake reports for any incident are attempting to manipulate our countries judicial system and imprison an innocent human being.

Look at all the 'SWATing' going on right now. There needs to be serious repercussions for these sorts of things, as innocent individuals and actual victims are seriously negatively effected.

The office stated clear as day that the majority of rape claims are false. Who is the bigger bully, the skeptical police officer (which is literally what they train police and detectives to be) or the women who claimed they were raped in order to obtain undeserved sympathy. It's the false claimer reports who are the real devils.

[–]stemgang 24 points25 points26 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

There is a phrase I never heard until coming to /r/mensrights: "Rape Accuser."

By watching "informative murder porn," we are used to thinking that a crime is self-evident.

By contrast, with theft and rape, it is not at all self-evident that a crime has even taken place.

So by even using the phrase "rape victim," we have acceded to the first argument in a process that must logically end in a man's imprisonment.

But first we must prove that a crime has taken place! And that is the difference between a "rape accuser" and a "rape victim."

[–]throvvvvavvvvay 14 points15 points16 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I tend to stay off the whole topic of rape, but I think "false rape bullying" would probably be a suitable support buzzword to help guys who are dealing with this.

Bullying has significant social momentum right now so it's harder to demonize, and the word also has a little built-in defense against aggressive shaming.

[–]Robert_Walker 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is an excellent way to refer to it, thank you.

[–]1independentmale 22 points23 points24 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Whatever happened to "It's better to let 10 guilty men walk free than imprison one innocent man?"

Only men believe that.

As far as the modern feminist is concerned, we are completely disposable. In fact, in their eyes the world would be better off without us altogether.

[–]DumpyLips 22 points23 points24 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

This really frustrates me. Yesterday there was a thread about things that people feel are common place but actually aren't and I kept seeing things about false rape accusations.

I don't know what most people experience regarding this but I know that I've had one ex accuse me of rape and another ex accuse me of hitting her. Both were completely untrue.

Both of those experiences were devastating. To have someone accuse you of a heinous crime and have all your friends around you shun you. It's absolutely terrible and it sickens me that people have the nerve to pretend like these things aren't a problem.

[–]1iluminatiNYC 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

FWIW, I've been in a similar situation, but stopped to ask for permission to touch just so no one could get anything twisted. Talking to women is like talking to the police: anything you say can and will be used against you!

Still, that sounds like some BS. I'm glad you didn't get caught up.

Duly noted. I might have to add that to the toolbox. The larger point is that you let them what the drill is from jump, and it's up to them to say yes or no. Once they say yes, it's no longer your problem.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The comment section is a nightmare. There is one bitch actually arguing that if 1 in 20 men imprisoned for rape are innocent, that's a small price to pay for safety. Whatever happened to "It's better to let 10 guilty men walk free than imprison one innocent man?"

The problem is not only that you have one innocent guy for ten guilty ones (which in itself is already a travesty of justice), but that as soon as you are willing to cross that line and actually start convicting dudes for what essentially is hearsay and thereby encourage women who want to get rid of some man to come up with false rape accusations, that share won't stay at 10%.

This just shows again why the bullshit rape charges hurt everyone. The people who should be most up in arms about BS rape accusations are other women. They're not of course. Whether it's because they're pushing an agenda, just sticking up for fellow women without knowing why, trying tear down "the Patriarchy" one piece at a time by any means necessary, or because they're just too illogical to realize they're hurting themselves.

Every BS rape accusation take resources away from investigating real ones. Ever BS case teaches everyone else involved to be more skeptical. That NYPD officer who who gave the 20:1 ratio quote is probably telling the truth. It's like the little boy who cried wolf. Was there really a wolf at the end of the story? Yep. Are there real rapes that police and courts should prosecute to the max? Yep. But when you hear everything from regret-sex stories told like they're rape to just plain old totally made up stories for revenge or attention, you start to look at all sexual assault cases like there's a good chance they're fake. Once again, women are the cause of the problem they are complaining about. I would go as far as to say the girl in this story has almost either herself or personally known someone who made up or exaggerated a rape claim for attention, revenge, or to feel better about consensual sex after the fact.

I've been in the military for 8 years, military police to be precise, with 2 deployments to Afghanistan. On both deployments there were sexual harassment and assault claims by female soldiers (MPs are coed) against male soldiers. All of them were false, though the accused in each case suffered severe consequences regardless. Most were due to revenge for some perceived slight or to get someone out of the way who was standing between the female and a promotion. The fact that much of the average US military camp overseas is covered by 24hr video surveillance is quite helpful, as well as other various methods to track or confirm identities and locations. One soldier had used his ID to scan into a location on the other side of camp just minutes after when the alleged "rape" was supposed to have taken place. Another camera that recently had audio capabilities installed captured a female threatening her squad leader with a BS rape charge if he didn't have her pulled off of missions and given a much easier and safer office job.

The Army's "sexual assault prevention is our number one mission" mindset (yes I heard a full bird COL say this in a briefing. Funny, I thought winning wars was our number one mission) doesn't help with this at all. It's to the point where every female knows she can at very least make a complaint that a male said something offensive and get the male in trouble and no evidence will be required and in cases of "he said/she said", the "she said" will be believed 100% of the time. It doesn't take much for a female to take it a step further and claim a male touched or groped her, or held her against a wall and threatened her. And again, her word will be taken as gospel and the male's life and career will be dragged through the mud. It makes for a very effective revenge or blackmail tactic. And the females know it.

The problem is they don't seem to know that they're hurting every single real victim of rape in the process. Even in New York, police just don't have the resources to chase down made up leads in made up rape cases for every girl who get's a case of "It must not have been my fault!" after a night of consensual drunk sex. This makes investigating real rape much much harder. Females should also just be angry that someone else would dare try to claim their consensual but later regretted sex is on the same level as a woman who had a knife to her throat. But they aren't of course. They pat her on the shoulder and tell her it's the man's fault every time.

[–]favourthebold 26 points27 points28 points 11 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

This is pretty interesting man. I've got friends and a brother in the army, it's gotta be the worst time to be in now with this stuff gong on.

One of my mates is dating a girl he met in the army, she told me she banged over 50 dudes who are also in. Lol. He should know better. And that's a lot of guys wtf...

[–]DRMMR76 27 points28 points29 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

For a military female, that's not really a lot. I know one who has married 5 different guys in my battalion. Not just banged, not just dated. Married. That's 4 divorces and one more on the way from the looks of it. The amount of guys that she's banged is astronomical. I personally even got head from her once. And that sort of thing is just normal for the army.

Imagine if you were somehow at a year long cheerleading camp. 10-15 girls for every guy. Wouldn't you just go wild and screw as many as you can? That's women in the military, especially on deployment.

[–]favourthebold 16 points17 points18 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah... she told me this story the day before she got deployed without him for 9 months.. she was asking me for advice on how she could restrain herself cos she really loves him. It was more like she was curious how anyone could restrain themselves, not like she was actually genuinely concerned. I thought she might have banged someone, now it seems like she probably banged a bunch of guys. My friend must know.. she's been with a heap of guys he is mates with.

That's insane man.. so seems like that aren't sweet girls who get caught up in a masculine world, they must go in knowing they're going to get a lot of dick..

Are you as shocked as I am a guy would marry a girl who's clearly a ho? My friend and this chick are engaged now.

[–]NeoPlatonist 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

When she was asking you for advice on how she could restrain herself, that was her dropping a hint that she wanted to bang you.

[–]favourthebold 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

haha could be dude, she was a bit drunk, in my house and he wasn't home. Guess I didn't see her like that, that day.

My ex-wife was navy. I have no idea how bad her numbers were.

[–]DoobieEx 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I was Navy, it was high. Female Corpsman, the worst. My buddy used to gut this chick nightly in the hearing test booth onboard. He later found out he wasn't the only one. Something like 20+ dudes over the course of a deployment.

[–]GruntStyle0311 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah man... We had this real hot, blonde FMF Corpsman assigned to support our unit in Helmand. If anybody ever got a hardon while bleeding the fuck out... She was probably responsible. Lol.

[–]myschadenfreude 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I figured. I was BP at the beginning of our relationship (the past doesn't matter - wrong). When we were getting divorced, because she banged a co-worker due to her not being happy, she ended up going and banging a couple dudes a week. Why? co-worker dropped her like a hot potato when he learned she was getting clingy and getting divorced. She cried about that, but not the divorce.

[–]kennethjc 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My life long buddy who is basically a brother had a sister who joined the Army and went to Korea. She has some crazy stories about banging multiple dudes in the same night, getting knocked up by her CO and having an abortion, passing out drunk and waking up with dudes running trains on her and now has multiple STDs. This was all within 1.5 years and she got out on disability w/ a blown out knee of all things. All she wanted to do was fly a weather balloon.

[–]thesixthone 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I have a buddy in the navy. He said he stays far away from navy girls because of these accusations.

[–]DoctorWelch 15 points15 points15 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It just clicked in my head after reading this...this truly is how we get to 1984 style cameras everywhere. I know people always joke about thought police and dystopian futures with this shit but this is how it ends up happening.

All of this just gets pushed to the point where society can no longer progress because of the potential for any and all women to essentially lie their way to the top and the only way to save society is to put cameras everywhere that help prove what actually happened.

[–]anonlymouse 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's also with police brutality. You just need cameras to deal with that. Of course the cops get to just turn the cameras off whenever they feel like it.

[–]jova33 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And that's why I signed up for the infantry. All men. No female drama. Our BSB had all sorts of false rape cases.

One girl was fucking her squad leader, then she accused him of sexual harassment. She got busted down for the false claim. He got busted down for contributing alcohol to a minor or some shit.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This just shows again why the bullshit rape charges hurt everyone. The people who should be most up in arms about BS rape accusations are other women. They're not of course.

This is not automatically true.

There was a prominent case in Germany about Jörn Kachelmann, a mid-tier celebrity who got accused of rape by a long-term plate he dumped: he tagged her along from 26 to 37 while having lots of kinky sex with her - and, without her knowledge, other women as well - and as push came to pull and she demanded his commitment, he backed out and broke up with her (overall a pretty assholish thing to do, but after all, it was her who decided to stay for the prospect of securing her alpha bucks along with her alpha fucks). After that they had a final sex session, which she later claimed was forcible rape in an extremely concocted-looking scenario, which was supported by "evidence" she had at least partially fabricated.

Now while I won't go into the legal drama (the judges seemed to be quite willing to convict him, if it hadn't been for that pesky badass lawyer who saved his neck), there were quite a bunch of women who figured prominently for his defence on the public front. Blogs that were maintained by women, and female journalists who took his side in their articles (two of them who wrote for particularly high quality got LOTS of hate from feminists for their activities); while I can't think of any men who were as consistently devoted to that cause who I've kept in mind. But overall, this was probably for the better.

[–]1iluminatiNYC 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There's also the fact that when cops come across an actual rape victim, they do a crummy job of handling it, making it less likely that similar victims would come forward. It's just a shitstorm all the way down, and society has to deal with rapists running wild and hurt women getting victimized all over again.

[–]ErrandAlchemist 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No one wants to hear about how "Actual Rape Victims" exist. If being a "rape accuser" isn't just sexual strategy, we might have to admit that there is maybe there is responsibility to our civilization that goes with being a powerful man ;)

[–]Johnny_Fake-Name 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Woman are selfish. They have group identity. They think with their emotions. Couple them all together and you get a group of cutthroat manipulative bitches whose arguments make no sense and who automatically side with each other because of their gender. They will do anything to get ahead because "it's all about me!"

Welcome to the apocalypse.

As a military police officer that has dealt with some of these cases as well as had to live and work with the same females either making the cases or living with the females that have; I have never personally seen or heard of one single female who has come out and said that women who make false rape allegations are wrong or should be held responsible. Never.

[–]TrimHer 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know a very senior enlisted woman who has told me that the number of times she dealt with "regret rape" was very high, above 80%. Another very senior person has told me that he saw several cases where the reasoning behind screaming rape was because the dude refused to pay his half of the morning after pill.

False rape accusations aren't penalized because we want victims to come forward. Victims won't come forward because of false rape accusations. Gee, you think its about fucking time to revoke the immunity?

I don't understand the timeline, she waited 2 years to report the rape? Like wtf man. Do these people have 0 respect for the police at all? Have any of these sjw tards seen a single CSI episode? They've obviously spent too much time watching Cold Case and Ghost Whisperer. Horatio Caine is good, but he's not going to be able to crawl up your ass and summon the ghost of your rape to testify 2 years later.

You know why this cop didn't take this case seriously, because there was no case. He was just fucking around putting on a pony show for these tards because he had nothing to work with, but they for some reason still wanted him to perform.

If she had taken this 'rape' seriously, then she would've called immediately, here would've been her result:

It only took five to 10 minutes, Sulkowicz said, for four officers to come knock on the door of her dorm room.

Instead she waited 2 years. And the cops showed up 5 minutes after the call, but that call was 2 years 2 late.

tl;dr If you take rape seriously, treat it seriously.

[–]hashtagpound2point2 14 points15 points16 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Those demands are much too realistic and helpful to expect from these kind of people.

[–]2insickness 10 points11 points12 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This right here. Why would she wait two fucking years to report the rape to the police? Here's why. She wanted to write about how rape victims are supposedly treated by police, how they're not taken seriously. Yeah, no shit. You don't take it seriously and you expect the cops to?

"fewer than 5 percent of college women who claimed theysuffered completed or attempted rapes reported it to law enforcement. Almost a quarter of alleged rape victims who did not report said they were afraid of being treated with hostility. Twenty-seven percent said they thought the police wouldn’t think it was serious enough."

If you didn't think it was serious enough to report right away... I wouldn't find it serious either. You had no problem running to school administration (year after the fact) and then when you don't think they did enough (probably because there was no evidence or probable cause to believe you) you still just did your thing for many more months before trying to continue seeking "justice" Side note: IT'S NOT THE SCHOOLS JOB... IT'S A CRIMINAL JUSTICE MATTER Sorry, had to get that out. I'm getting so tired of hearing about "university administration not doing enough about rape"

Anyways, back to my original point. These are horeshit excuses. And yes, I added the words claimed and alleged, because this "If a woman cries rape, it definitely happened" mentality is crap.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can look at the Bureau of Justice's The National Crime Victimization Survey and see that about 40 to 55% of sexual assaults are reported to police.

Fewer than 5% sounds terribly unlikely. This report on college students presents an entirely different number:

The police were informed in about 35% of violent victimizations against college students. Victimizations of nonstudents (47%) were more likely to be reported than those of college students (table 7). The most common reasons given by college students for not reporting to the police were that the violence was a private or personal matter (31%) and that the crime was minor or resulted in no loss (25%). Among nonstudents about 1 of 4 crimes were not reported to police because they were a private or personal matter.

[–]GruntStyle0311 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Now those numbers seem more realistic. This is why I hate Al Jazeer. It's all propaganda. This is the same media outlet that will slam troops for killing a "civilian" even if this civilian was attacking them or caught assisting insurgents, even when pashtunwalli has nothing to do with it.

Do you happen to know university protocol for reporting crimes/assault, etc?

If you were on a campus with campus security very near by, whom would you turn to first for protection/help?

edit; maybe if I put it another way:

Whom would you go to first after someone just assaulted you and jammed their dick in your ass by force? I bet you are not even sure what you would do because you can't visualize another person's experience.

She reported it SEVEN MONTHS after watching her attacker go on with his life, before she reported it to police. This isn't about a math equation, just simple reading comprehension.

  • raped
  • reported to campus
  • campus conducts investigation
  • campus has hearing
  • 7 months after hearing, files police report

[–]trudatness 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

The cop knows right from the get go she's got no evidence - whether she was raped or not. He doesn't believe her anyway. It's not like cops don't want arrests, because cops do want arrests - they just don't want to fucking waste their time doing all kinds of leg work on something they know is going to be a dead end.

Think about it. Cop somehow convinces DA to try a guy based on nothing more than a narrative. It just won't fly - and even if they do get the guy in court - his attorney will blast the the accuser and they'll all look like assholes for trying to railroad some college kid based on the girl's word.

All the girl has is her story and a cop knows that any credible defense attorney is going to destroy her on the stand - especially if the cop thinks she's full of shit.

If the dude was exonerated by a kangaroo title IX court, then fuck, there must have been some serious holes in her story. She's saying the guy hit her and pinned her down and forced his cock into her ass against her will.

She had to have been bleeding. She had to be. If what she was saying was true - there's simply no way the guy didn't tear her up down there.

The signs of forced rape would have been there and they could have gotten DNA - she could have nailed the guy and sent him to prison.

But she didn't. She didn't go to the hospital and report the crime. She had this motherfucker dead to rights - open and shut case - and she did nothing.

Two fucking years later she decides to call 911? What does she expect the cops to do? That's why they treated her like shit.

For the majority of well reasoned people, the mostly likely reason why she didn't immediately call the police was because IT WAS ALL BULLSHIT in the first place. Cops are certainly no exception.

You could guarantee if she would have call the police on the night this allegedly happened and they saw the bruises on her and the tearing on her asshole from a medical report - they would have IMMEDIATELY cuffed and stuffed the motherfucker and then got a subpoena for his DNA sample. That's how shit works.

When you come up with a story a year after the fact - it makes you look like an axe grinding asshole liar.

Punishment is the only thing that is going to deter rape. The only way to truly get punishment is to teach women to immediately report crimes when they happen.

They really have unreasonable expectations thinking that somehow two years later cops are going to be able to do anything - and they don't have any credibility when they wait that long.

[–]TekkomanKingz 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I could see a man waiting years to report being sodomized, but there is no reason for a woman to wait this long to report being violated. She has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

If a man reports another man for raping him he could one day end up in the same jail cell as him. For a woman this is naturally not the case. So what do they have to lose here???

[–]ErrandAlchemist 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is the only sane, non-emotional response I've seen tonight. There's more to running civilization than simply labeling women as monsters.

[–]trudatness 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, IMO this Emma chick is batshit. She's on a fucking crusade without a stitch of evidence and she's throwing an epic "living performance art" tantrum because nobody railroaded this college guy based on nothing more than her word - which has some definitely doubtful aspects to it.

So what is she really fighting for? The right to merely accuse and get people arrested and/or expelled? Honestly, I can't see it any other way.

She cannot see how she mishandled the situation and basically let a rapist (if what she's saying is true) walk free?

So in this case, yeah I think what she's doing is pretty inane, if not monstrous.

[–]ErrandAlchemist 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The difference that makes a difference in what you're saying, compared to much of the rest of the thread is, what she is doing is monstrous. Compared to she is monstrous, or even women are monstrous. That's like acting the victim of a victim-mentality. You're talking about evidence, and justice. I don't see many of the "men" on here talking about justice as an ideal to be protected for all mankind.

[–]trudatness 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, anyone can see there are no shortage of apologist shills willing to prop up this woman's idiocy as some sort of testament of a grand lack of justice for rape victims.

Again, she has no evidence whatsoever that a rape took place outside of her own claim.

So what is the outrage REALLY over? If one looks at this objectively, then one can only come to one conclusion - this Emma woman and her feminist allies are outraged because they do not have the ability to mark someone as a rapist without any tangible evidence.

I've seen this on reddit here too, specifically - right in /r/PurplePillDebate where feminist posters have stated that if it comes down to her word vs his then the woman needs to be believed by default, or else "many rapists will go free and unpunished".

This is a belief held widely by many feminists. They believe a mere accusation is all the proof necessary for expulsion and/or jailing of men. They've expanded the definition of rape and sexual assault now to include any woman who has imbibed alcohol - and in the state of CA the law is soon going to require all those accused of rape to prove they got consent essentially creating a guilty until proven innocent standard. The ignorance and self-delusion it takes to get as worked up as they are about not being able to eviscerate due process of the accused is eye-opening.

There are going to be many TRP posters who see this cast judgement on these women, seeing them as feeble-minded, selfish and yes monstrous or dangerous - and I believe justifiably so. No crime is so terrible that it mandates the removal of a person's due process rights - and the people who demand that power are fucking pieces of total shit.

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points26 points 11 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like the cop knew what he was about. Sounds like Al Jazeera wants to demonize him for it. After all you can't have police actually doing their jobs and making sure the "victim" didn't make it up.

Nope. Henceforth all police must fall in line and be white knights, taking the word of every woman at face value, and assuming every man is a liar. So commandeth the social justice world order.

[–]favourthebold 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha, fantastic. Yeah they are upset that he didn't treat her well. But whatever his demeanour he still has to ask the questions and follow the process.

They don't like that his line of questioning implies that she might be making it all up. But how else are you gonna do it.

If it happened to a female friend of mine, and she wanted to go through with it, I'd try to let her know what's about to happen. Working in corporate land for 10 years.. you learn to just follow the process.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

These women in this account sound very privileged and overbearing. When the cop lit up a cigarette in the car, the one student was quick to try to assert her authority and control as I'm sure she usually does in her life over most men. She seemed shocked when the cop did not heed to her order.

College women can be insane, have sex with one, and end up in handcuffs a month later not knowing what the fuck you did.

How would you react if you had just literally been raped in the ass by a 10 inch cock WITHOUT LUBE and rather than help the police treated you like a mentally challenged child and accused you of lying?

I want a serious answer. Not some bullshit buzzwords. Not how women lie about rape. How you would feel if it happened to you?

Another question I want to hear a serious answer to. What if your mother was anally raped and a cop ignored her story? Again, serious answer or don't reply. Don't take this out of context.

[–]1independentmale 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"Just literally" two years ago and she can't remember the relevant details.

Do you know why the police were grilling her? Let me spell it out for you:

“Well, it’s supposed to be uncomfortable,” the officer responded. “If it goes to trial, this is what’s going to happen … You think that was bad? Nah.”

The second that bitch gets put on the stand, the lawyer for the man she accused of rape is going to tear her the fuck up. The police need to ask the hard questions to determine whether they have any hope of winning a conviction. Her story didn't add up and happened two years prior. It may have been true, but with no chance of winning a conviction, there's no point in prosecuting.

Police and prosecutors know this and prioritize cases accordingly. You need some hard fucking evidence to win a conviction - proof beyond a reasonable doubt. She didn't have it. Had she called 911 the night she was actually raped, a doctor could have examined her and she'd have had much more evidence on her side.

How you would feel if it happened to you?

Here's your serious answer: It wouldn't happen to me. If someone held me down and anally raped me, I wouldn't wait two fucking years to report it and neither would any of the women in my life if it happened to them.

[+][deleted] -7 points-6 points-5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know.

But either does the girl in this story, because "just literally been raped" does not mean "raped two years ago and just literally talked to the police about it".

Just kidding. I do know. I would feel foolish for putting myself in that scenario, disheartened that I didn't have the required evidence to convict the person responsible, and yet still understanding that my personal grief was not enough to compromise the fundamentals of our legal system. The same exact feelings I had when I knew who robbed me three years ago but couldn't prove it.

Know what I didn't do? Cry about the cops doing their job.

But hey. I'm just rational, what do I know.

Nice False dilemma there and so eloquently put. Also, why should I have to answer your question? You were the one that came into my message feed attempting to shift the burden of proof with a question that doesn't directly address my initial assertion. You can fuck off!

What is that like four logical fallacies in one sentence? I'm actually impressed.

Now go bother someone else.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So instead off going off and bothering someone else I see you're one of those fools that has to have the last word. In doing so, you've also added two more fallacies to the list: a rather abusive ad hominem attack, and a straw man attack on what you think is my belief system.

In other words, you can call me names you want, you're still not getting your way.

After I sent you my last response, in which I told you to go bother someone else, I somehow just knew that you weren't going to be able to contain yourself. I was fully expecting a snarky response and had planned to simply ignore you from that point on.

However, after this last bit I'm finding this exchange surprisingly enjoyable. It's clear to me that you're getting quite wound up ober this and I'm curious to see how many more logical fallicies you're going to bring to the table.

I'm sure that the reason you keep pushing me on this question is that you have a number of fallacious arguments ready at your disposal, with which you planned on giving me a sound internet-based thrashing based on whatever my answer was. If I were going to answer you're question, I'm afraid the answer would not fall neatly into the handful of ansers you were likely anticipating.

However, I'm still not answering your imature question. In fact I fully expect my fellow TRPers to give me shit for talking to your for this long. Only reason I'm still responding to you at all is that it's amusing as hell. I kind of want to see what you're going to come up with next.

So... you can either quit bothering me or you can keep making a fool of yourself in front of anyone who might be reading this ridiculous thread.

Here's a list so you can practice.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Gotta pay for that. I had a girl try to tell everyone I raped her back in high school. What really happened, was she came over to my house one day while her boyfriend was in lockup, and we ended up fucking. Instead of just not telling anyone about it in the first place... She went and made up some rape story before boyfriend got out of jail and found out.

Luckily, her best friend sold her out and exposed her lies. First and only time I ever saw a girls best friend call her out, instead of just backing her up and getting some innocent guy put in jail.

I ended up fucking her too. Twice. A week. I'm not even gonna lie, she turned into an LTR. Women like that are rare.

That was a long time ago.

Anyways... I found out, you have to pay big change to get things wiped off juvenile record. Especially felony crimes.

She must be some fucked up Chinese-Jewish adoptee with identity-attention issues. Sad she didn't get daddy's love, but don't take it out on the guy who's cock you rode.

“He made it very clear that he didn’t believe it, and that she had handled the whole case improperly,” said Erik Ramberg, Sulkowicz's boyfriend and a rising Columbia senior.

This beta bucks white knight defending his maiden's sullied honor!

Ridolfi-Starr told him that she thought the police’s questioning had been uncomfortable.

After all it is the job of the prosecution and defence to ask a lot of awkward and uncomfortable questions to establish or undermine the narrative.

Now you are starting to understand why people are hesitant to report these types of crimes.

[–]le_king_falcon 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes. But that doesn't excuse not reporting a legitimate crime. It also doesn't mean we should fundamentally alter our legal system just because some people are uncomfortable.

The getting torn up refers to literally any court appearance. Its the job of prosecution and defence.

[–]GiveMeABreak25 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are correct that it isn't an excuse (although, understandable). And I did not see in the article where it mentioned her age at the time of the assault. That said, as a 18-20 year old, I might just actually believe campus security when they told me they would report it to police (as is the standard practice). However, at most campuses this is up to the discretion of the campus (terrible idea) on whether it is actually reported. It's plausible the woman did not know this.

You are also correct in the way a court appearance generally goes. However, not how it should be handled by the police. The police are to take the report and offer help, not to be judge and jury.

Does anyone know of any documented cases where they've proven a rape accuser to be lying and arrested/charged them? I hope so. From this article, it sounds like it's assholes like this who make it harder for real victims of rape to find justice and closure. Maybe if they start getting charged for lying, the word 'rape' won't be thrown around so willy nilly.

[–]1iluminatiNYC 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think there was a case 15 years ago from another Columbia student where they nailed her for a false accusation. It turns out she was running multiple men in for rape charges, and say that she was targeting men for this. I think she did a few years in jail.

[–]Nerf_Circus 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She said he said. She has no case and the cop doesn't want to waste his time.

Isn't 911 the emergency number like ya know the one you call in an emergency?

[–]Endorsed ContributorNiftyDolphin 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Last year I was talking to a detective in NoVA that had recently transferred out a sexual assault department.

He told me that out of every 100 cases, 90 were either vindictive gfs/wives, exes, or mentally unstable women making false claims. They were usually obvious about it and their stories fell apart under scrutiny.

Of the remaining 10, 5 wouldn't testify, not wanting to endure the rigors of having their lives laid bare by cross-examination, and the case would fall apart.

The remaining 5 cases would be pursued with righteous fury.

This is an article describing the poor handling of a a rape accusation...why its here in TRP, no one knows...

[–]favourthebold 23 points24 points25 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you can read between the lines, you can see the school is making a big deal about something the cops realise may not have any substance to it.

You can't just put a guy in prison just because a woman is upset, and the cop is handling it accordingly. I think it's a good read.

[–]MarkFuckerberg 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But obviously with the 'poor victim' slant that is required of any major publication.

[–]SillyAmerican 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah i get the validity and see all the points, i just cant really see how this correalates or helps with living a TRP lifestyle other than an example of how girls can use rape accusations as a source of power, and thats already apparent and doesnt need to be constantly brought up. but thats just my 2 cents and opinion.

[–]caveboy77 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

This is just as relevant as the tons of other articles about rape and false rape accusations that are posted every day.

[–]gameno 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She was raped two years ago and is finally going to the cops? In her school hearing 7 months ago the school couldn't figure out how anal is possible without lube and forced her friend to write an essay through the eyes of the guy raping her? Seems fishy.

As for the quotes of the cop that only 1 out of 20 rapes is real. Maybe hes just a dick, or maybe its true. I think the problem is changing your mind a week later isn't rape. Both of you being drunk shouldn't be rape. Your dad finding out you are a slut isn't rape. What should be rape is chicks who take semen without permission either through holes in condoms or defiling a turkey baster.

[–]1kick6 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And if changing your mind a week later isn't rape, changing your mind a YEAR later certainly isn't.

[+]Mafamaticks -13 points-12 points-11 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This article isn't about false rape accusations. It's about how police mishandle rape cases and the repercussions of it. Did you read it?

[–]caveboy77 12 points13 points14 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're an idiot. It was posted because it's written from the perspective that a woman would never lie and cops are "mishandling" cases because they don't believe some dumb slut who comes to them 2 years after she was raped and expects to get a guy put in jail over it.

[+]ErrandAlchemist -6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know when I lie it's to get out of trouble. She must be in a lot of trouble to spend two years lying. Lots and lots of trouble mainly because doesn't want to take accountability for having sex, or admit she was lying in the first place. So the best use of her time is to lie and lie and lie with lots of bonus attention from betas. Or she could be craving justice. But she's probably just a lying liar.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

At first glance, I found myself agreeing with you. Regardless of whether a claim is true, if this was representative of how rape claims are handled then there is a real problem.

But when I found out it was this fucking chick- http://www.returnofkings.com/43097/female-university-student-carries-around-mattress-she-was-raped-on

-all my doubts were assuaged.

This is the girl who not only waited over a year to decide to raise her claim but actually took months to even convince herself that she was raped. This is the girl who used her 'rape' as part of a publicity stunt and part of a 'visual artwork' for her fucking thesis. This is the girl who dropped her accusation because she couldn't be bothered to go to court in 9 months time. This is the girl who wanted to file a complaint against the police but then got annoyed when she had to do such laborious tasks as 'explain herself' or 'come into the station'.

This girls rape accusation was handled like it was because it is clearly bullshit. She has no evidence of a rape that she had to work to convince even herself occurred. She got transferred to the DA's office but decided not to pursue the claim because she wanted to 'forget all about it'. She is a fucking liar and is probably mentally unstable.

[–]SillyAmerican 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i didnt realize it was mattress lady lol but i was just making it a point, while yes false rape accusations and such are a blight upon society, I dont see how it really relates to a TRP lifestyle. [–]GruntStyle0311 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My thoughts also. Unless this supposed audio recording is produced, I wouldn't think to much of this alleged "verbal abuse" She’s just pissed at the fact that people are being straight forward with her, and won't just take her word for it. She's pissed because he asked standard questions, and followed standard procedure, and telling her how it is, instead of sending SWAT to arrest the alleged rapist and buy her fucking ice cream. And her whiteknight friends are all over it, because she has them so convinced that she was really raped in the ass, that they share her emotion.

[–]Folsomdsf 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's probably kinky rough sex on the tape at best and not outright rape. I know a girl who is into some strange shit and if you recorded the audio of one session, holy hell.

the officer's tone was harsh but thats reality. 1. she will get grilled in a criminal trial because she is the ONLY witness 2. false rape is prevalent so everyone will starts off with the mentality "there is a 95% chance this is another lie"

[–]SariaLystra 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Interesting that women see due diligence as oppression. That is the motivation to get colleges to do something: so that the women themselves can control the process.

What is more frightening is that these are SJWs who are hellbent on getting their way and will shame and bully anyone to do it. And they are succeeding. What will they go after next?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thats a 95% false allegation rate which sounds about right. Its not the first time a police officer on the front has opened up about what is really going on. Im guessing they are under a huge pile of political pressure to never tall about the massive scourge of false claims.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had a girl threaten me before that she could tell people I raped her. I showed her all the dicks on my phone from being a homo and said "good luck."

The fact that my only defense would have been my actual sexuality and not the truth is scary as shit. And it is not like I was hanging out in some crazy den. I was at a friend's and this was just a random party attendant that was an acquaintance of so and so.

TRP is so much more than getting laid. Knowing all of this shit can actually save your life.

[–]tallwheel -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, one reason the officer was skeptical was because she didn't know the eye color of the man she was accusing. Honestly, who remembers people's eye color? I only know the eye color of my closest friends and family. If you asked me the eye color of a girl I had a one night stand with last night, I couldn't say. Maybe women notice these things more though...

[–]GiveMeABreak25 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Probably even less in this case since it was anal rape. You are spot on about eye color being some definitive factor, that is totally ridiculous. These people need actual police training.

[–]Newdist2 -4 points-3 points-2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably even less in this case since it was anal rape.

Oddly enough, when they asked the alleged rapist about her eye color, he clearly remembered that it was brown. And that she only had one.

[–]teeelo 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So the question remains, was she 'raped'?

At first read of this article I definitely had sympathy for the Woman and made me upset. Then I became skeptical.

[–]FullMetalAsshole 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No idea how to quote on mobile but the last paragraph says it all.

Police investigating your claims through thorough questioning? "That's verbal abuse! Why can't they just throw my rapist out of school!"

This kind of seems to be a symptom of getting a life long pussy pass. Everyone just accepted what she had to say all her life but now that what she's claiming has to get investigated its considered abuse?

Another thing, in theory the guy she's accused is already fucked FOR LIFE. Would this not come up in a criminal background check? Does she really expect that her word alone will suffice? This isn't Law and Order. That guy will have to live with that for the rest of his life.

[–]mateodeloso -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"You invited him to your room. Thats not the legal definition of rape."

I bet the accused guy just didn't call her back after turning her out like a pornstar.

Instead of reflecting on her own promiscuous behavior, its easier to avoid accountability by being the victim.

The unspoken truth that everyone seems to be avoiding in regards to sexual assault on campus is that DRUNK CHICKS ARE FUCKING HORNY.

[–]TekkomanKingz -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She should have just demanded to ask for a rape kit. Unfortunately this would be a man's reasoning and women are completely incapable of separating their emotion from the facts.

[–]Wikipodiatrist -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Did you guys even read the article? In context, this cop's comments only highlight the actual, legitimate problem with rape in college campuses. Furthermore, who is a cop to question the legitimacy of a rape accusation? That is not his job, and his prejudice is seriously concerning.

[–]TheSKSpecial 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Furthermore, who is a cop to question the legitimacy of a rape accusation?

When 95% of the accusations you field are false, it's kind of an issue. Don't be mad at the cop for becoming more skeptical, be mad at the 19 other women who filed false accusations and made it harder for the 20th woman to be believed.

[–]foooow 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

who is a cop to question the legitimacy of a rape accusation? That is not his job

it is his job. He decides if there is probable cause to arrest someone - he has to make the first decision as to whether or not the accusation of rape is at least "probably legitimate".

[–]lloopy -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The conversation here seems to revolve around how ad it is to relive the experience in having to tell your story again.

The problem I see is that it's a momentary discomfort for the alleged victim, but a lifetime of agony for the wrongfully accused. Rape is pretty horrible, and that's why the punishments are horrible. But to seek those punishments on someone who didn't commit the crime is just as bad, or worse.

[+]DarkCircle -9 points-8 points-7 points 11 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

The problem here is that the officer seems hostile to believing the testimony of an accuser. That is not his job.

Hey/they should take testimonies and investigate impartially regardless of prior experience. Believing the accuser or the accused from the start slants the process of finding the truth which is what everyone should be after.

What was detailed of the process seemed inappropriate and unfair to real victims in the same way that other cases are handled that prejudge the unconvicted accused. Both are wrong.

[–]tsudonimh 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The problem here is that the woman did all the things that trip the cops' bullshit detectors.

There is no physical evidence - just like if no rape occurred. She waited a long time to report it - just like those who decide after the fact that it was rape. She found it difficult to answer their questions - just like someone whose story is not all true.

The cops aren't going to spend time and resources to put a case together that won't stand a chance of getting a prosecution.

[–]DarkCircle -5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I mostly agree with you but the way they handled it seems very poor. I don't see why an untrained university staff member is handling a criminal case. That should go straight to a trained professional.

The problem here is that the woman did all the things that trip the cops' bullshit detectors.

There is no physical evidence - just like if no rape occurred. She waited a long time to report it - just like those who decide after the fact that it was rape. She found it difficult to answer their questions - just like someone whose story is not all true.

The thing is that abuse victims often have difficulty coming to terms with what has been done to them and although it is possible for a genuine abuse victim to look like they are making it up.

The way it was handled indicates their training is so poor, they are not qualified to make the judgement.

I read a story of a woman who reported a rape and was brushed off as having made it up. A few weeks later another woman is attacked by the same person and the police department ended up paying millions in damages. This was also an officer who's 'bullshit meter' probably told him/her that the story before investigating.

The cops aren't going to spend time and resources to put a case together that won't stand a chance of getting a prosecution.

I have no problem with the police saying "it was 2 years ago and there is no evidence we cannot investigate". What I have a problem with is how dismissive the police appear too be (according to what has been said). It is unprofessional to decide that because he believes 1 in 20 are bullshit, this case is. He has to take each case on its merits.

I think the right call was made. The case is uninvestigatable. But the way things appear to have been handled are so poor that they would make life hard for a genuine victim.

[–]Azothlike 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A genuine victim would not have waited two years and then come forward with nothing but a narrative.

So no, the way cops handle whiny tumblrinas that spontaneously decide year old sex was rape would not make it hard for actual victims.

[–]DarkCircle -5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How do you know this?

What you say would make sense only if people were rational all of the time. But in highly charged emotional situations, people are nothing like that. Some people were abused as children by priests, but it is only decades later that they come forward. You would think that anyone that has been abused would want retribution or justice immediately and overcome their trauma to see their abuser punished. But emotions and people just don't work like that.

A person not sure of their story could be repressing painful memories or could be lying. It is hard to be sure. Even worse is that after a while, human memory can be unreliable. When I hear her case, I am very skeptical for many reasons, but in a professional setting, my job is to put all of my biases to the side and treat each case individually as difficult as that is to do.

Rape is so serious a crime that the only reason I should not investigate is because I cannot, as there is nothing to build a case on.

[–]Azothlike 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your priest analogy is not compatible.

The victims of priests are children, and they are being abused by authority figures.

This does not apply to college students raping college students at all. Children are ignorant of sex, ignorant of sexual law, and taught to accept what authority figures do and say without question.

College students are none of those, and they are not being abused by authority figures

[–]1independentmale 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Police have limited resources. They cannot possibly investigate nor prosecute every alleged crime. If you show up with a claim that is completely meritless based on the available evidence, they're not going to waste their time with you.

What could you possibly expect them to do? They can't have her examined by a doctor two years after the fact to collect semen or other evidence. There are no recordings or other evidence available. The college already cleared the guy of any wrongdoing. What's left for the police to investigate? Nothing. The only thing they could do is talk to the guy. He's going to say he didn't do it. The case is a complete dead end.

[–]DarkCircle -5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I said in another comment that I have no problem with the decision, it is far too late. I hear stories of people being convicted 20 years after the fact based on words alone. That's too late.

What is an issue is how the accuser was handled. It looks really unprofessional and it is possible for witnesses to come forward very late or be unclear on details and the officers in charge don't sound qualified to judge. Telling someone that they are wasting their time is the wrong thing to do on a professional, moral and "cover your ass as she may be telling the truth" level.

What if a few weeks later a few more women come forward with a story matching the original story in uncanny was. They perform a rape kit and find his semen? Something like this did happen and the police ended up paying millions for it (be they didn't have the resources for that either).

The best thing they could have done was say something along then we of "We cannot investigate this case, it is too late and there is no evidence. If you have any new significant evidence, witnesses or details come back and we will do what we can"
