Ah the beard.
The most obvious symbol of masculinity aside from the penis. The beard has been a symbol of intelligence, wisdom, strength, virility and at times a symbol of outlaws, pirates and men of the wild. But one thing has been constant throughout the ages - all the way from our cavemen ancestors to Anno Domini 2014. The beard has always been a symbol of masculinity. Seriously, who do you think was the alpha male in the cave; the mangina who couldn't grow a beard or the man who's beard would put Gandalf to shame? In our modern day and age the focus is on a boyish look. Men are cleanly shaven. No hair on your balls, your chest or your face. Hell - my male cousins in Germany even shave their armpits. What are we going for here? The 12-year-old look? Borderline pedophilia?

If you're a man with the ability to grow a hefty beard you owe it to yourself to at least experience it once in your lifetime. I'm not talking about "the douche bag beard" that outlines your jaw. I'm talking about a burly Game of Thrones motherfucking viking beard. Trust me, there will be some initial resistance. Your insecurities might get the best of you the first time you try. But once you reach above a certain point, all those doubts will fall away. You will embark on a journey that only men can take - and not even all men. Only the lucky ones. You will fall in love with your beard. You will become enthusiastic about it. You will see a fellow viking strolling down the street and exchange casual nods.

Now my beard doesn't exactly reach down to my belly button but it does cover my face. I keep it well groomed so the argument that it's a look strictly for bikers who dgaf about their appearance is completely false. If your job stops you from growing a beard, quit your job. No, but at least grow one the next time you have a significant amount of time off. Going for a fishing trip in Alaska? Stop shaving. Going to hike the Grand Canyon next summer? Stop shaving. Many men will see impressive results in less than a month.
My beard-experience started when I served in Afghanistan with the USMC. I made good friends with some Special Forces dudes on base who all sported impressive beards. I decided to join their game and about a month in we were comparing beards. Growing a beard in Afghanistan was a unique experience. People are very responsive to beards in Islamic culture, it's still a sign of wisdom there. Unfortunately the military frowns on beards and I had to lose it when I returned home. Why does the military frown on beards? Well - gas masks become useless if you have a long beard. But unless you're planning on building a time machine and rushing the fields of Somme in 1916 you should be good.

TRP is as much about sexual strategy as it is about exploring your male identity - what could be more male than a beard? It doesn't surprise me that our feminized society is trying to push away facial hair. After all - it's easier to tell a boy what to do than it is to command a viking chieftain. Don't be a follower, be a leader. Don't let society tell you that a beard is unattractive - fucking own that shit. If you've spent any amount of time experimenting with TRP you must have realized by now that women care less about appearance than men. It's all about how you carry yourself. One time at work we were discussing beards and a girl said "I don't think people trust men with beards" - all I answered to her was "yeah, like how people don't trust Santa and Jesus". Needless to say she kept her pie-hole shut for the remainder of the discussion.
