As a future healthcare provider, I'm going to set the facts straight:

Some of the most common STDs/STIs in the United States are preventable or curable:

HPV - "genital warts" are the most common STD according to the CDC. There are over 170 related viruses and about 40 of which can infect your genitals. Men can get vaccinated with Gardasil to prevent the most common strains that cause warts/ cervical cancer in women
Chlamydia/Gonhorrea are the most common STIs seen in 15-24 year olds (about 3-4 million cases in the US). Both of these are treated very easily with antibiotics if spotted early. One dose of Azithrymycin or Ciprofloaxcin will treat most (there are other abx's that work too), visit a healthcare provider to obtain them.
Syphilis - if you go to your healthcare provider, we can diagnose and treat syphilis with before it reaches later, more concerning stages (like neurosyphilis, etc).
HIV/AIDS - if you wear condoms AND if you do not share needles then you significantly reduce the transmission of HIV. Anal sex is risky when it comes to HIV. Transmission of HIV via oral sex/kissing/sharing toilet seats is infinitesimally low (aka zero). If you do wind up with HIV, retroviral therapy can help you keep your CD4 counts in check
HSV-1 / HSV-2 - herpes. These aren't prevented by condom use. Surprisingly a large portion of our population has herpes and yes that includes all of you who have "cold sores." HSV-1 is usually transmitted when you're younger while HSV-2 is still considered "genital," but you can find either strain above/below the waist. While the symptoms do suck (you could have 4-5 outbreaks per year), the disease can be managed by acyclovir/valtrex. Unfortunately, Herpes can present as problematic in cases like dendritic keratitis, herpetic encephalitis, etc...

Having sex also puts you at risk for scabies or pubic lice. Permethrin cream or Ivermectin should help clear that up eventually (it can take 8 weeks or longer though!)

While using a condom isn't failsafe, it is MUCH MUCH better than raw dogging anyone you aren't monogamous with. Period.

GET CHECKED. Go to your local planned parenthood, urgent care or doctor's office and tell them about any concerning signs/symptoms. Don't go next month. Set up an appointment now. We won't look down at you - we'll give you the tests and treatments you need. This includes those who it "burns when you pee," have weird bumps, weird blisters, abnormal itchiness, etc. If you stop these things early, you can get back out there to slay pussy.

So to answer OP's question, I wouldn't worry about STIs if spinning plates properly.

TLDR: The only way to avoid STIs/STDs is to abstain from all sex. If you can't, the next best alternative is to use a condom and get routine checks. While STIs and STDs can develop into a variety of serious problems – they can be mitigated or handled.

I basically never wear condoms, I am picky about the women I sleep with. If I didn't trust them to be honest about STDs I wouldn't be sleeping with them.

I also try to only sleep with pretty young women now, less risk overall.

I've dated women with herpes, its easy as a man to not get if the woman that has is knows and pays attention.

Overall it pretty hard to get STDs if you're pitching.

Me personally I'm very careful on the girls I hookup with. The last tinder girl I was with, she told me she didn't like condoms (I don’t either personally). I asked her if she was clean. She said yea and she got recently tested. I believed her (big gamble on my part). I did not catch anything from her.

One girl a few years ago, I knew she been around. She tried to get me to not put a condom on, but I knew better for this one. I was in a three-month dry spell so I risked it. The sex was terrible because the whole time in the back of my head I was worried about catching something. I escaped that one clean too.

The most recent girl, before we started, she told me she was clean. I believed her. I believed this one because we shared the same social group and had I caught something, you best believe everyone would know. Especially since most people in our group knew I didn’t have anything. After we hooked up, she went and got tested and showed me. Clean.

So yes, in my cases I actually do talk to plates about these issues. I’ve always been clean. Now, I’m no John Don that has 20 girls at the snap of my fingers. Usually I have one or two on rotation. The worse thing I ever got was a bad case of mono. And trust me boys, you don’t want that.

You do have to be careful.

This is a risk that comes with having sex. Sure you could require 100% monogamy on their end, but you don't ever really know. You should have a doctor at the ready and if you get something, it's not the end of he world.

Chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhea left untreated for years can be serious, but they can be easily cured with a simple doctor's visit. So, not worth worrying about if you get checked out every half year or so. Most guys have caught one of these at one point or another, it's a rite of passage, you dirty skeeve you.

Ah, the infamous HERPES. Now the biggest thing you have to worry about herpes is that it looks ugly, and the name sounds scary. But that's about it. After a few outbreaks, it usually gets less and less frequent and visually goes away if you're young and healthy. And so many people have it, you may even have it now and have zero symptoms. Plus, condoms don't protect you from herpes at all. Now think about it; you might have a virus that's totally invisible, gives you no symptoms for life, and condoms won't do shit to prevent it. Are you gonna worry about it?

Almost everyone who fucks regularly has HPV. You probably have it now. Men are typically carriers. The payload to men is either nothing, or a few bumps that usually go away. And condoms don't protect against it. Also not worth worrying about.

HIV ... now that's the serious one, folks. But everything else ... meh.

I don't know where you're getting your numbers but multiple medical studies have put condoms at a 98% to 99% success rate at preventing HIV and other STDs. That is, of course, if you're using them correctly and consistently.

Additionally, you're chances of catching an STD depend on the quality of women you're plating. If you're fucking random low quality bar sluts then your chances are much higher than a woman you met in let's say graduate school or your weekend hiking club.

Always wrap it up though.
