I knew more than a couple of girls in HS who were no great shakes in the body department (one was short with absolutely no curves, the other was tall and “big boned”), and only “cute” in the face, vs. “hot.”

But their personalities had the guys lining up to date them - including myself - because they were kind, friendly, personable, and made you feel great about yourself, like you were the only person in the room whenever you were talking to them.

And they also weren’t chasing the hottest guys in the school or trying to sleep their way into relationships.

I think it points to her wanting a very specific type of guy, to be honest. Most of the higher end, white collar, professional guys prefer skinny women for LTR's/marriage at least. Sure, the instagram influencer wants a "thicc" 44" cottage cheese ass that turns like a week old banana, but buckling in for the long hall with A cups means you've got a chance at seeing C's by your 40's.

I think obesity just really poisoned a lot of us on curves though. Boobs are almost to the point of grossness, since every GF who bragged about hers ended up looking awful within ten years.
