ME: Tall, slim, have a great job and make good money, drive an expensive car, always wearing expensive slim fit suits and being told how good looking I am. However, bear in mind that I have NO game at all. Seriously, I'm learning the theory but putting it into practice is very difficult for me.

Recently a new girl started at my department. She was a HB6-7 (above average but not "hot") and to be honest I didn't give her a second thought. She was then moved to a project that I manage and over 2 weeks we spent a fair amount of time together and her personality shone through. I honestly couldn't stop thinking how amazing she was. I took her out for lunch a few times (in a work context) and after two weeks she was moved to another of our offices across town (she was basically a temp in all but name moved around every few weeks to where she was needed).

I text her trying to arrange to take her out for a drink over the coming weeks but she flaked time and time again or would take over a week to respond because she was "so busy" at our other office.

Today, I see on Facebook that she is "in a relationship" with a guy that works at our other office. I click on him and find that he's short, overweight, not remotely attractive and working at one of our entry level positions earning nothing.

Objectively, there should have been no competition on paper, she should now be my GF, but I have NO game, his was obviously better despite his shortcomings on paper. That's the difference, and I am the one now feeling like shit because I really liked her, and he's the one with the girl.

So for all you guys out there who think you're average looking, and think you've got no chance compared to the good looking sharply dressed guy competing for the girl you like, THINK AGAIN. If you've got game and he hasn't, she's yours. It has NOTHING to do with how you look.
