Honestly you look like a slob.
Go get a haircut, and remove that shit off your face: And go on a keto diet + lifting regimen to drop some weight fast. Then get some better clothes.

[–]Sebastian0320 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
Exactly, just go on a calorie deficit, no keto needed
[–]Skizznitt -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Keto is fine, nothing wrong with it. It helps you lose fat faster than just a calorie reduction diet.
[–]denis_x 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
yes but its harder gain muscle mass on keto.
[–]Skizznitt 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
On strict keto it's a little harder sure (still do gain muscle though, just a little slower), but if you do a cyclic keto diet where you have a carb load day to refill your muscles' glycogen stores for the week, it's no different than a traditional carb heavy diet for muscle gain. With that diet you do cycle in and out of ketogenesis, but for about half the week, you're still burning fats easier.
[–]no_not_this 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I would never jump in and out of keto every week. The headaches are unbearable for me.
[–]Skizznitt 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You don't deal with the keto flu again with just 1 day of carbs, otherwise there's no way I could have done it. The day after your carb day you feel kind of puffy in your joints and shit, but it clears up by the following day. What I did too was a 16 hr fast on the Monday following my carb Sunday, it helped me transition back into keto a lot faster and smoother.

Depends on what kind of food he prefers, keto was it for me, was easy because the fats and meats were what I liked, wasn't hard to give up the carbs at all, and even when I felt like I wanted something carb like, there are keto options for that. You're just assuming he is going to have a hard time not eating carbs. Many people don't. Knocking keto for this guy before you even know what his food preferences are is a pretty shallow minded approach. People also have a hard time restricting calories because they get hungry, and keto helps you stay full and satiated longer. People also get frustrated when even though they're trying to eat in a caloric defecit, can't seem to lose weight as fast as they want to. Keto speeds up that fat loss. OP, if you read this, don't knock it til you try it. All these people make it out to be some hard to follow psychologically difficult diet.. it's not, you have keto breads now, keto ice cream, low carb wraps, keto noodles... Any carb like food you could possibly want, comes in keto form these days.

Hell no, calorie counting is not optimal, go on the primal diet

Intermittent fasting was the breakthrough for me. Eat once a day. No limit on what I eat. It is so damn simple.

I can’t see your pictures but I would ask you this - would you be interested in dating a female version of you? The weight issue, the fitness level, the grooming and clothing/style? Would you be an attractive and desirable woman exactly the way you are? If not…that is the answer.
[–]PermaFrost493 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
"would you be interested in dating a female version of you?" Perfect quote! Gonna use it from now on
[–]CompetitionFair7686 45 points46 points47 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Yes, you need to lose a lot of fat first if i’m honest, and also trim your beard, give it a better shape, it looks like you don’t take care of it at all
[–]GalaCad2003 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
What’s the fastest way to lose the fat?
[–]Liberaler 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The faster you lose fat, the more muscles you will lose as well. Doing it a bit slower but consistently is better.
[–]rohankent 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Trim the beard. A stylish cut. Go to a barber for this. Go to the best clothing store you can find and get a sales person to help you select the best quality wardrobe you can (top to bottom) minimum 3x outfits including good shoes Get a hair cut Buy nice mens cologne/perfume/deodorant/aftershave Trim your nails regularly and ensure your feet/shoes don’t smell Shoulders back Smile.
[–]Justbardia 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Never ask the sales person for best quality, they have all the insensitive in the world to lie about what they're selling to you, educate yourself on the matter and just tell them what you want.

There are lots of good videos on YouTube to get you started if you're interested. Check out athleanx, he has all kinds of work outs, tells you how to use proper form, rates the different exercises on which are the best for bulking certain muscles, there's a wealth of info if you just peruse his vids. Other than that, you need to figure out your basal metabolic rate, to know how many calories you're burning each day at rest, there are calculators in a Google search that are accurate enough. Keeping a journal to keep track of what exercises you do can help with calorie tallying, there are calculators online to estimate how many calories you're burning with each exercise.
Weight training and having a couple cardio/HIT days a week (aim to work out 5 days a week with 2 active rest days), alongside a diet where you're taking in around 500 less calories than you consume per day will make you start losing fat like crazy. Keto will speed up the fat loss process because it switches your body's fuel preference to fats and your stored fat is easier used and burned.
It's entirely doable without going and asking someone at a gym to show you how like other dude said lol.
[–]stanthemilkman88 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Intermittent fasting. Lost 60lb a few years ago without even exercising consistently. Now I eat one meal a day most days. I dont put restrictions on that one meal. Simple as hell.
[–]nuc1earwessels 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Your caption in one of your photos is "when you just don't care anymore"
Beyond your appearance, which u/Lakeyute pointed out (and accurately too, I might add), no woman would want a man who doesn't "care anymore" If you don't care about life, how do you think she predicts you would care for her in a relationship.
[–]swissarm 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Warning, this is mean: fat guys with bushy beards look like they don’t give af about their bodies. Trim that thing. Beards are an excellent choice for skinny and fat guys alike, but it needs to be well-kept. Also buy some nicer clothes. You don’t have to shred the pounds overnight but look like you give a shit.
FYI fat guys have a lot of muscle hiding under that fat. Look up Ethan Suplee from My Name is Earl.
[–]Strike481 point 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Ethan Suplee worked out for the muscles. Just FYI it was not all just concealed under the fat. In fact, most fat people who go through severe weight loss will come out looking skinny fat with very little muscle unless they already train and have a lot of muscle and retain it.

Lose the baggy clothes, cap and beard bro, because you look like a hardcore MAGA supporter. Work on cardio and do a lot of squats and bench presses.
You’re welcome
[–]Skizznitt 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Shave that head, trim that teddy bear beard into a 5oclock shadow or shorter, treat your body better, get your diet on point, hit the weights and dress better. Right now it looks like you don't care about your appearance, which many women find off-putting. Gotta love yourself (and look like you love yourself) before people will love you bro. Just gotta do some self work, it'll be worth it.
I'm into the whole fitness thing pretty seriously, if you need some help on how to get started getting into better shape, feel free to pm me and I can point you in the right direction.
[–]rohankent 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Also, those who say you need to lose weight, that’s one opinion. I see plenty of moderately overweight men with girlfriends.
Only lose weight if you need to/want to. If you don’t, you will limit your options, but you need to be happy in your body. Confidence is attractive and my other suggestions will be a good start.
[–]wooshoofoo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Everyone here has given you the conventional wisdom so I’ll add something new: if you’re not into losing weight, becoming a gym regular, at the very least switch your clothes for better fitting ones, and learn to be FUNNY and FUN (those are two different things, note). If you can do that you can be heavy and still charming.
[–]Potential_Swimming83 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Okay. So everyone will talk about grooming and weight loss. This stuff is true and it’s more of a superpower than you might imagine. Unless you are ugly (which you aren’t) attractiveness is being thin-muscular—athletic.
Anyway. I really think you could do will actually finding women interesting as people and not just a sex vending machine. Seriously.
[–]stanthemilkman88 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because you're fat as fuck. Obese. Why should they? Lose the damn weight.
[–]Gemselleramazon1 point 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Awhh bro that beard… ditch it! It doesn’t grow in properly and is way too straggly. I have a proper beard and even then it makes you niche. But unless it’s super nice get rid of it.
[–]Mundane_Natural5131 -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You need to hit the gym hard bro get on a 1500 calorie diet to U need to shave your beard bro or atleast trim it looks like you dont take care of your grooming at all i can only imagine your sack
[–]Skizznitt 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
1500 calorie diet for a 6 foot 285 lb guy? No. Too much of a defecit. A simple calculation of his BMR based on height age and weight says at rest he's burning around 2300 calories a day, with working out he should be burning probably close to 2800-3000 calories in a day.
2200-2500 calories is closer to what he should be aiming for, for a cut, otherwise he will end up way too hungry and be losing muscle mass with the fat.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think the beard is a little unkempt if I’m honest.
But another thing is confidence. I’m a girl and I probably wouldn’t make the first move - but I’d be happy if I guy did. I think most women feel this way. You’ll gain confidence by investing in yourself, whether that’s your personality and honing charisma, or weight loss, and even maybe finding a style or fashion sense that you think suits you. Working on yourself and putting time into you can really make you feel good and you’re more likely to step out into uncomfortable situations.

All people want to date someone of quality. No one would want to date someone who brings out the worst of them
[–]Potential_Swimming83 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is true (of course) - but the OP has said nothing to indicate he brings out the worst in anyone. He’s just having a bit of bad luck and maybe needs to change a few things in his life.

Start intermittent fasting bro (look it up). It's the easiest way to lose weight fast, plus you can eat whatever you want (during your eating window at least).
[–]Mriconicdev 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Bro you need to lose weight, clean your self up and get your finances together. Period. Take yourself seriously first before women take you seriously.
[–]Justbardia 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Mate, it's because you don't look serious. Study men's wear on youtube, Gentleman's Gazzette, Sartorial talks and Real men real style and Gent's Scents are channels that help. Get your beard and haircut by professional, and care for your skin and hyngine. Be ambitious in your career and have long time goals. Have two or three hobbies and travel. You'll see the results, not immediately but definitely. Do give me feedback on your journey if you like to.
[–]NotANerdReally 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I feel like you made this post specifically so that people will push you to lose weight, get in shape and get healthy. You do know what the problem is, don’t you?
[–]harvey_croat 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just work on yourself every day and you will be fine
[–]Cage0816 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The way you look in these pictures, if you're a guy who's just living life and don't care about dating it's fine but if you're looking for women to approach you or at least have a chance with them this is not a good look. To at least have a chance, hear me out.1-You need to learn how to dress .2- you need a haircut, 3- you need to buy yourself a skin care routine kit to keep your face fresh , 4- you need a signature scent, a perfume that smells very good and that will leave it's scent behind even when you're gone(i recommend Hugo boss) ,5- you need to lose some weight. This one is not really necessary but if you could find someone to take your pictures it would be cool, last but no least don't be creepy.Good luck though.

Tbh lose the beard and lose weight
[–]Powerful_Bowl8277 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I can’t see your photos, but if you six foot and not getting women it means that those 285 pounds are way more fat than muscle, from comments about your beard, I suggest looking up what kind of face you have and seeing styles that compliment your facial features, for example if your jawline sucks get a trimmed beard that makes your jawline look good. Good luck
[–]AbjectSavvy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is ridiculous. You believe your worthless you'll feel it. You believe you got potential youll find it. When you carry yourself stronger and more put together it will show you are confident and likely less awkward to talk to. When you lose weight it will look like you care about yourself and likely others well being. You will boost your self esteem and confidence along with it. Eat how you like within reason... Just eat less and stay active. Groom the beard. Avoid Babyface. But once your put together you still have to anticipate loss. Good advice all over the place really. Follow all of it because you want to or you'll never get there. Good luck. Also consider reading Literotica. Good examples of dialogue selection and body language.
