yep, this approach works. i joke about this kind of stuff 3-4 times on a date and it ranges from saying I have a good sized schlong, to giant balls, to other obvious patts on the back.

Is it a good move? Depends on what you want out of it. It's a fun and challenging line if presented as such. Boring guys will immediately tell a girl their education/work and try to impress her. Delaying it shows that you're not trying to impress her - at least if you don't act like you're trying to be impressive when you reveal it - and it draws girls in, that is, if they actually see that it is a joke. You can use any silly profession. You could also say that you make a living spinning a sign outside a store or whatever.

It works really well. Most men try to answer in a way that impresses them. The women is usually looking for a way to disqualify, it’s a bit of a shit test. You’re basically saying I don’t care to impress you, plus it throws sex into the mix. My brother in his younger days said he worked for the pound and when they thought that was sweet, he’d throw in the “someone has to throw the switch”, ie be the executioner. Worked really well.
