Does anyone here have consistent success in Gym/Workout scenarios?

It's a very hard place to game, I haven't had much success but I know people who have. It always involved classes of some sort, get signed up for spin, yoga, kickboxing, etc.. and start meeting girls there. Show up a bit early to stand in line for a good spot and you'll inevitably meet girls who are willing to stay late and chat. From there you can set up dates, just don't be sleezy about it because you'll be seeing these same people for a long time. The whole "Leave them better than when you met them" thing is golden for this.

I also have friends that play tennis at higher end gyms and meet girls who do the same. Pretty easy to set up a tennis date with a girl and grab a bite afterwards.

Other than classes/tennis, it's extremely difficult because most girls are going to have headphones on. Once in a while you'll see a girl hover around you as you move throughout the gym, it doesn't always mean she's interested but if it happens more than once it's safe to approach.

I can finally contribute to this legendary sub.

I have bedded over 15 women from my local gym over the years, and believe it or not, its pretty simple.

If you're a regular at your gym and you see a girl that you're attracted to, walk over to the machine she's using and politely ask how many more sets she has. Most girls get weirded out and will tell you that they're done.....if she does this, or tells you she has a certain number left, smile and say, "please no, take your time....I've got to stretch a little bit anyway...go ahead". (note:if she's on the pussy ass hip abductor thingie, wait until she uses a more hetero friendly machine, then approach her).

The next time you see her at the gym, smile at her and say "are you working on (such n such) again?" This will let you know if you have a chance with her or not....she'll either feel that you're abrasive and simply give you a polite smile back and say nothing, or she'll find you attractive and actually let you know what she's working on that day. If she does this, then BOOM, you're in. Ask her if she worksout often, or if she's from the area, blah blah blah....you should be able to handle yourself from here. But ABSOLUTELY do not be pushy and creepy....that'll turn her off immediately.

I was thinking about this during my workout today (caveat: I'm not running game in the gym ). I would be more attentive to getting an IOI from her before approaching. Cold approaches in the gym setting, where a lot of women are uncomfortable to begin with because of guys ogling them constantly, is not my style. I'm sure it can work for some guys but I'd rather keep the metal in my headphones cranked and focus on my workout.

I do. I am a regular at gym and a competitive bodybuilder. I come every night with my coach and training partner, always at the same time. We go out of our way to help others, make jokes, and generally have a good time. I love being there and I believe that shows in my demeanor. I believe this social proof aspect is responsible for my success.

My only advice for gym game: volunteer and wear the volunteering shirts to the gym. I usually just keep my headphones in and focus on my workout, but times when I've been wearing volunteering shirts women came up to me and interrupted my workouts. "Omg I ran that charity run for 5 years now" Yeah.. great let me finish my workout.

I actually don't think I have game at the gym because I get low blood sugar and cant think straight. If you can still keep your game up I'd say give it a try.

I too am interested in the answer to this. Between everyone wearing headphones and being busy working out, I find it hard to approach. It's not even approach anxiety that gets me, I'm just not sure how to go about it. I have no problem in a bar or party or any other social occasion, but the gym presents a problem.

I start the conversation the same way we teach guys to do it any other time / place during the day or in any other non-alcohol serving environment. The gym freaks people out, but it can actually be super easy.

Also, added benefit of people will definitely have noticed you before you go talk to them. Dress well (wear something that compliments your body type). Workout hard. Bring a friend to smile with before and after the workout. Get to know the people that work there. You can basically make the gym even easier than other venues for yourself to meet people.

I've done a few approaches at the gym before and it is not the place to cold approach, rather wait on warm signals such as a smile, prolonged eye contact. Overexertions etc. What Randy88moss recommended is perfect and all you need. The only thing i would add is sometimes girls approach you, you just need to learn how to recognize it. If your working the ab machine and you see a girl(s) standing around waiting for a machine ask her/them if they want to trade off, then make conversation in between sets. This can only happen during busy hours later in the day like 6-8.

This also doubles as a good way to make acquaintances at the gym. People dont usually do this so it's always appreciated.

The game strategy I heard from somewhere is to build social proof at the gym by getting to know everyone. All the guys you work out with, the trainers or staff, be able to call them by name. You'll appear to be a "big deal", just like at a bar when you can call the bartenders and bouncers by name. She may see this and you'll have a better interaction and won't just be another loser hitting on the girl at the gym.

Being tall, I just say "Volleyball or basketball?" to any tall athletic girl I see..works 80% of the time, every time.

Great way to meet women is ask them to critique your form on squats or something. Basically dont play the alpha gym rat, give them some credit and ask them if your doing it right. You are doing squats right?

I crossfit and I've had done success there. Good girl/guy ratio and a fun friendly environment. That being said, an urban crossfit is much better for meeting women than a suburban one.

I feel like you all think it's hard because IT IS and you're NOT supposed to be doing it in a fucking gym. You're all like flies buzzing around a bright light. It's annoying to even read let alone actually have to deal with as a girl.

I workout because I like being strong/muscular/fit and I enjoy working out. This is an honest answer and I'm not trying to convince myself that this is what I think. I honestly don't think you can be successful at the gym if you don't enjoy working out and pushing your limits.

This would work: M: 'hey (hand on shoulder) how many sets do you have with that?' W: they reply 'x or y number'. M: 'cool, what are you doing today' W: 'legs/arms/stomach/chest/they don't know' M: 'Ah me too, that's why I was coming over here. It's my favourite/that's the worse day possible. Let me give you some advice on it, you see I/know how to do this/instructed here' Then you go into a story about what to do and explain the exact benefits/negatives of certain exercises

Another scenario; to a girl that knows what she's doing in the gym.

M: 'Excuse me, you know how to box don't you?' W: 'umm, yeah' M: 'Where did you learn' W: 'city centre/argentina' M: 'Cool, I've been wanting to learn for some time and I'm looking for a place. What's it like there is it good?' W: 'yeah it's good/no it's shitty' M: 'Okay cool, well I want to learn today so you've got to give me some tips, show me how to hook/jab/whatever'

The two scenarios above would work and allow you to build up a conversation and then ask for their number.

The other thing you could do is speak to a girl on the way in/way out, though then you need to have something to talk about like their outfit etc.

Third thing, if you see a girl in the gym a lot and see her out of the gym as well make an effort to smile at her in the gym. Then strike up a convo. when you next see her out 'hey, you go to x gym don't you'.

Fourth thing, classes. You can speak to someone before or after the class 'have you done this before' 'that was different wasn't it'.

Finally; you are a chump if you are going to the gym to pick up girls. The gym hierarchy dictates that to be DHV you have to know what you're doing. So get to know what you are doing in the gym before you start going there to pick up girls in a flat cap and jeans. If you are doing that I hope the gym manager kicks you out and doesn't refund the amount you pay.

One time i went up to a girl I had made lots of eye contact with for a few days and introduced myself and told her she was absolutely adorable... was planning on asking her out later, but never did and it was kind of awkward the other times i saw her.
