I’ve found when I think about a girl when she’s not around it’s like raising her up on a jack lift.

To let her down, focus on other women or even better your work.

You can’t obsess if you’re distracted.

What dating is supposed to be is not having the "perfect" person alreasy ingrained in you, but a set of core standards. Then you go out and date and try to get to know the person as THEY ARE vs how you want them to be. Let go and destroy your fantasy person and just talk to people and figure out how they are as a real person.

You are trying to fit circles into a square hole. Because you are convinced a square is the beat and only possible shape. Unaware that humans come in way more shapes and sizes and trying to fit them into your box with the "circle" "triangle" "square" holes is always going to be impossible since no one is a perfect square, circle, or triangle. We all have ridges, flaws and other things that make it impossible to fit into other people's idealized versions of particular roles.

You should have an idea of what you want. "I want a triangle type of person" and be able to date these triangle people but understand they won't fit into a rigid ideal of a triangle as that is impossible. And appreciate their shape and concept without trying to shoehorn them into an ideal that is a fiction of your own brain.
