Hi guys!

I've been consuming a lot of the RSD Max 'Girlfriend Game' content, where he talks about maintaining an alpha frame in relationships.

The general idea of it is:

  • never supplicate
  • continue being your own man
  • continue speaking to girls and keeping your social skills sharp
  • have a purpose outside the relationship
  • continue being that awesome guy who could get other girls

I had this NAILED down in my last relationship.

  • I resisted having the 'what are we' talk until she brought it up and even then initially told her I wasn't ready for a gf.
  • When we did become exclusive, I kept my own hobbies, would still hit the clubs with the lads a lot, would say to no to her plans to do my own thing etc.
  • I often used to say: "If, for whatever reason, I'm not the best possible option for you, leave me." She'd say it back.
  • However, I was also a great boyfriend in that we'd go on loads of unique dates, support through troubles in her personal/professional life

Essentially I kept 'gaming' her throughout the relationship, just like Max advises in his vids. At any time, she never fully had me. She only ever 95% had me.

The results were AMAZING.

  • The honeymoon never ended when it came to amazing sex.
  • She started going to the gym even more than she already was.
  • She got into self-improvement in a big way (career, health etc)
  • She essentially worshipped me - and I thought the world of her too...

However, after 18 months or so, the bubble burst in a big way.

She would frequently get really drunk on nights out - and start getting into jealous rages. She'd accuse me of never having loved her. We're talking floods of tears for hours here. It would happen a in less extreme way when she was sober too.

Of course, I tried to reason with her many times when this happened. But it got to the point that I dealt with it by trying to break up with her (the next morning). A few times, she'd talk me into staying, but ultimately this behaviour caused me to walk away for good.

Now, she'd a lot of issues with abandonment from her dad and sister in the past - and was having problems with work at this time also.

But, since the release of Max's 'Girlfriend Game' content, it has got me reflecting on my part in this destruction of this 'perfect' relationship

Maybe going on less nights out and to more of her shitty family events might have stopped this going downhill. Maybe more 'I'll love you in sickness and health' type comments might have helped. The only 'successful' long-term relationships I see among my friends are the ones where the dude is 100% committed/supplicated.

On the other hand, the relationship was so great (to me anyway) partly because I never had to sacrifice anything to be with her. Another plus side to 'maintaining the alpha' in a relationship is I banged two girls within a week of the break-up, rather than being heartbroken for years like most beta-males would be.

Ultimately though, my best-ever relationship did end in a very unpleasant way.

The big question...

This was years ago, and something I'm fully over. My relationship before that had a similar timeline and a similar outcome (a more extreme one, actually)

But Max's content has put this question in my head - with my mind on future relationships...

Is it best to 'maintain your alpha' in the way I described above - or will it end up driving your girl crazy??
