It's a yellow flag. Yeah, life happens, but almost any well-adjusted adult has some kind of backup plan they can fall back on when something goes wrong. The vast majority of homeless people are homeless because they are mentally ill. That doesn't mean they're bad people, but they probably aren't in the right state of mind to be a good date or romantic partner.

I was on the verge of homelessness after my boyfriend of 15 years died November 2020, loss of income, loss of a house as it was transferred to sister from trust of the parents, unable to find housing I could afford alone especially during covid. My truck broke down 3 weeks prior to relocating to another state to stay with my sons side of family. I left with just my personal property and my dog.
I should have put money away 30 years ago for a rainy day but life just happened and I obviously didn't make smart financial decisions back then.
I really like to see the good in everyone and there situations.. I could kick my own butt for my own stupidity lol..

I'd say you have a clear power dynamic over her if she's homeless, which can cause some issues.
It's possible she's just lonely and wants a friend, it's possible she's keeping you around and is going to ask you for something later, it's possible she's hiding some type of disease from you, and it's possible that she's a multitude of any other thing.
I'd make it clear what you want want her, if she says no then thats just that.

If you invite her to do something with you outside of work, it's a lot more acceptable to touch her. You MIGHT wanna do that but that would also require money being spent on your part.
If you take her out, dance with her, touch her and such then you're making it clear you like her. Invite her to this hotel afterwards, assuming she's not drunk.
You can also touch her when you're making points and putting emphasis on certain parts of your speech, hold her hand, that type of thing.
