Cringe is all a matter of perception. If someone did all those tactics and the girl was enamored by him, where's the cringe? A third person watching all the action and doing nothing for themselves? Who cares? Cringe can also happen in conversations that have no PUA concepts at all. "Rizz" is just PUA rebranded, those gen Z guys just don't want to admit it.

There's something nobody talks about regarding classic pickup - it was developed by a bunch of dudes ranging from slightly to very mentally ill, primarily for use on women in the Beverly Hills clubbing scene in the early 2000s, who were by definition out looking for fun.

How well do you think that translates to the women of today, who basically bathes in social media, can recognize attempts at demonstrating status from a mile away, and have heard every line under the sun, not even on themselves, just in the media in they consume?

Every woman and situation are different. I get guys asking me all the time "what's the one universal line that will make a woman's panties drop." And I always say "there isn't one". What one woman might find cringey and roll her eyes another might make her laugh out loud.

This is why you should be getting a feel for the woman. Her aura,vibe, and personality. And what you can and can't say around her.

I generally agree with that sentiment, PUAs are cringe and autistic. You should just be the best version of yourself possible (dress well, develop style, hit the gym, groom properly, have proper hygiene, eat good, look after your health, build confidence) and then be a natural masculine man and simply talk to the women you find attractive. None of this curated openers and spam approaching 100 girls a day to get 5-10 numbers and 1-2 lays (figures I’ve heard PUAs give out).

Good PUA works but for the wrong reasons. When you do PUA you’re an entertainer, and chikcs like to be entertained. Simple as that. When you see a guy dodging all the bullets, and pulling all sorts of social tricks wouldn't you be impressed? That being said good PUA is rare and most of the times guys who try it remain in the cringy valey of death as it requires years of practice. Natural game is just easier and has more appeal to a broader audience, being "yourself" and naturally atract women is the dream of any guy. And the thing is that it is indeed possible, nature and evolution designed us all to be attractive otherwise somewhere down the line your ancestor wouldn't reproduce. The trick is to break free of social conditioning and insecurities and to get there there is the over analytical and methodic PUA way or going on a self development journey way.

That's just 'communication skills'.

The primary driving force behind whether someone wants to listen to you is not the content. You know 100% that you can't just read off someone else's line and that makes you interesting. What does? Charisma, energy, enthusiasm, etc. 'Communication skills'.

There's just many, many (perhaps misguided) means of giving you the confidence, entitlement, gumption to say something with that kind of authority and passion. If I told you what to say, give the reasoning behind the line, convince you it's some 'advanced method' would that permission give you some entitlement and confidence to say it? Sure. It works to the extent you say 'x' and you can't follow it up.

The problem is things don't blatantly 'not work'. There's just better, more reliable and sustainable means of giving you the confidence required to communicate with some charisma. Some people have a degree of that through circumstance, which is all well and good, but for those (like myself) who didn't develop that naturally you have to derive it from somewhere. Ultimately, it can only be internal but I wouldn't exactly shame someone if learning a tactic made them feel more equipped.

I saw a youtube channel of some new pickup guy who apparently has a tonne of 'reciepts' of very hot girls he's banging, and his channel is based on roasting PUA's infields.

He takes infields by coach kyle, austen summers, james tusk, Todd V and many others, and laughs at their attempts - the overriding them being 'be normal! stop with all of these cringy game techniques!! that's why she rejected you!'
