No reason to ask her that, you should choose yourself whether you want to pick her up or meet her at the place. It is pretty weird question from a guy, maybe that's why she wonders about your dating experience. If that is just some random shit test, just answer like you won't be playing into her game, "Only when I feel some potential".

So you asked if you should pick her up or not, and she responded by asking if you date often? If that's what happened, it's because 99% of dates don't want to be picked up. They don't want you knowing where they live in case you're a creep/stalker/etc. So by asking her that question you revealed that you're inexperienced at dating and she picked up on it. On the flip side, the fact that she recognised it as a sign of inexperience means that she's an experienced dater and has likely slept with a lot of guys. That's not a bad thing imo but something you might want to be aware of.

Under that scenario, I would probably ignore the question and continue asking about the logistics of the date. I do that b/c it seems like she is either teasing you (positive thought) or trying to shit test you (negative thought) over the phone.

Honestly though, I think she is perfectly capable of getting to a location by herself, unless she told you previously she doesn't have a car or something. I honestly think this is just teasing.
